This week’s episode saw the Kim-Dawood duo helping Suraiya understand why Ovais was not the right choice for her while at the same time tried to make everyone in the family especially their Dadajaan. Let’s discuss what Yunhi’s latest episode was all about:

Dawood Takes a Stand for Suraiya

After Kim and Dawood visited Ovais and his family, they realised Suraiya had made a grave mistake and the boy she was madly in love with was not worth it. Dawood however, finally understood what Kim was saying all along about consent. He now realised how important it was to let his younger sister decide who she wants to marry as it is her life that is in question. We are loving the change that Dawood and Kim are bringing to each other, be it a change in their overall mindsets or the way Kim behaves with Dawood and his family or Dawood becoming a little more accepting towards Kim’s ways and bringing her closer to her faith.

The scene where Dawood persuades his grandfather to think about Suraiya instead of the family's respect and what people will say about them has us impressed! Finally Dawood takes a stand for his sister and talks to his dadajaan, hoping that sense will prevail. However he does not budge and asks Dawood to end the topic.

Kim being the good daughter in law has been trying to persuade her mother-in-law, father-in-law and dadajaan that Suraiya needs to be allowed to choose her marriage partner instead of being forced to marry her cousin Hamid. Although everyone shunned her for her radical thinking, Dawood’s father was beginning to pay heed to what she had been saying.

Hamid’s Father Makes a Strange Request

When the guests arrive at Dawood’s place for Suraiya and Hamid’s Nikkah the elders decided to discuss a few formalities to be sorted out before the Molvi saab’s arrival. Mudassir, Hamid’s father made a strange request of getting Hamid settled in America by Suraiya’s family, and also mentioned that if they cannot do that, the nikkah would not be possible. This left everyone in shock as no-one from the household had expected an ask this big. Living in today’s world, it does surprise us when such things are shown in dramas, as Pakistanis how is immigrating to America an easy feat and why would Mudassir want Kim’s father to help settle Hamid in America when Dawood has never thought about moving there? We did heave a sigh of relief though as this would mean the Nikkah would not happen at any cost. Definitely a win-win situation for Suraiya.

Have Kim and Dawood Hit a Rough Patch?

Bilal Ashraf and Maya Ali play the leading pair in Yunhi as Dawood and Kim, while their marriage may have begun on a rocky start, we had seen a spark between the two in the last few episodes. However, yesterday’s episode is hinting towards a misunderstanding brewing between the two. Instead of letting Dawood know what was bothering her, Kim chose to keep it to herself and this is surely going to make things worse for the newly weds.

Bandish 2 is an ARY Digital drama that airs every Friday at 8:00 pm. It is a prequel to the first one and is just as frightening and thrilling as the first one. The drama's story focuses on how a family's life is affected because of an envious family member who practices black magic.

Farhana searches through old photographs for a photo of Humaira's family to present to Baba Saein. However, Armaan tells her that he has Rabail added on his Facebook and that he can download one from there.

Later, Wania awakens in the middle of the night to the sound of loud wailing. When she rushes outside to find out, she sees an elderly woman in black sobbing next to a dead body. She is surprised to discover that the dead body is hers when she takes a closer look. She just stands there, speechless and shocked. She stands there in astonishment when Sameer enters the room and informs her that his factory has caught fire. The whole factory is on fire when Sameer gets there. His entire stock for a new deal worth 3 crores is torched, and now everyone is worried about what would happen. Wania told Manahil that she had seen her own dead body and was certain that the house was to blame for all of their ensuing problems. Later on, she told Humaira what she had seen. However, Humaira didn't believe her and tried to convince her that she was just stressed out and that was why these fears and nightmares were starting to take over her mind. In order to dispel these doubts, she must pray more. Humaira urged her son Sameer to listen to Wania's worries and be considerate towards her.

When Armaan tells Farhana about the fire at Sameer's factory, they both appear happy. On her way home from college, Manahil meets Ahmer, who reassures her that if his father doesn't approve of their marriage, he and his mother will leave. He is starting a business and will soon buy a place of his own where he will settle his mother. If the house is theirs, they will be in charge of all decisions. Although Manahil disapproves of it, Ahmer assures her that he will find a solution.

Rabail's boss noticed she seemed distressed at work, he asks if there is anything bothering her. She informed him about the loss her brother has experienced due to his factory. When he discovered that her brother manufactured surgical equipment, he offered to invest in Sameer's company since he had been considering doing so. It made Rabail happy and relieved. Her boss, however, urged her to keep this information from others at work, especially his brother.

At Farhana's house, there appears a dead bird out of no where on her bed, and when she goes back after tossing it outside, she discovers yet another dead bird there.

The dead body scene in particular made the episode mind-blowing. Out of all the horror Pakistani dramas, we believe this was one of the most horrifying scenes. The portrayals of their characters by the actors are flawless. Particularly Amna Ilyas, whose expressions and dialogue delivery are so natural that you can sense her anxiety and worry in both her tone of voice and her eyes. Sania Saeed portrays Humaira as a wise and loving mother and mother-in-law with such poise that we can feel her maternal affection and tenderness in every word. Rabail's plot seems a little too irrational and stereotyped. The boss goes above and beyond for one employee, and the employee doesn't refuse to accept his support (whatever happened to work ethics and professionalism? ).

By announcing his refusal to wed Maheer, Saad resolves to take it all on himself. For the proposal, Areeb took his mother over to Maheer's house, but she seems overconfident and too proud of her being wealthy.

The drama "Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha" on ARY Digital tells a complicated yet compelling tale of love and sacrifice. Babar Mehmood is the director and Sidra Sehar Imran is the playwright. Maheer (Haniya Amir), Saad (Wahaj Ali), and Areeb (Zaviyar Noman Ejaz) are the three main protagonists in a love triangle. Maheer and Saad have always lived together as cousins. However, Maheer has always considered him as her cousin and closest friend. But Saad has always had a soft spot for Maheer. At her cousin's wedding, Maheer meets affluent Areeb, and the two fell in love.

Maheer tells Rafia(Salma Zafar) that Areeb has convinced his parents to visit tomorrow but she is also worried about Saad and her father. Meanwhile,Neelo (Rabia Kulsoom) and her mother are preparing for Saad and Maheer's engagement. When Neelo shares her preparation to Saad, he reacts angrily and rudely.

Maheer and Areeb are talking on the phone and pledging to be together no matter what. Maheer expresses her concern about losing Areeb and her worry that his mother might not approve of her.

When Azhar (Shahood Alvi) notices Maheer and her mother cleaning the house, he asks Rafia what all the preparation is about. Rafia reveals that Maheer will get a proposal from someone who is coming. Azhar becomes enraged by this and severely reprimands Rafia, ordering her to warn the folks not to come because his daughter is getting engaged on Friday.

While this argument was going on, Saad entered their home and advised his uncle not to turn away the potential guests since he and Maheer would be unhappy. Azhar responds, "Leave Maheer out of this," since he believes that Saad is the only one who is opposed to this marriage. When Saad's parents arrive, he tells them how Saad has humiliated him since everyone knows his daughter would be getting engaged on Friday, but he has chosen to reject the proposal right now. They are pushed out of the house by Azhar, he says he didn't even want to look at their faces. Everyone is in disbelief about how can Saad do such a thing.

Azhar apologises to Maheer for making such a poor choice and appears sad. She requests that Rafia arrange Maheer's rishta with anybody they want. Maheer is quite concerned because she can see how devastated her father is. Maheer is quite concerned because she can see how devastated her father is. Rafia tells her that Areeb is far better than Saad in every aspect and that her father would be fine when he meets Areeb.

Saad's father is enraged that Saad made such a major decision all by himself. He slaps Saad and demands to know why he did it. Maheer steps in and prevents her uncle from beating Saad and blaming him any longer.

Maheer apologizes to Saad for having to bear the brunt of her mistakes. She declares Saad to be the world's greatest individual. Saad, however, just begs her to go while promising her that everything will be fine. She wishes Saad gets whoever he wants in life since she has a lot of respect for him for not betraying her trust.

When Neelo questions Saad about the reasons behind his actions. He explains to her that he did so because Maheer doesn't love him and likes Areeb instead, saying: "Sab kuch jhoot ho sakta hai lekin ye sach hai k Maheer mujh se mohabbat nahi karti."

When Neelo questions how Maheer can reject you and cause your heart to break. Saad reminds her that she has never shown her love for him, she has never hurt him.He says, nothing is more precious to him than Maheer’s hapiness.

Rafia is excitedly preparing snaks and stuff for Areeb and his mother. However, Areeb's mother behaves snobbish when they get there and didn't bother to eat anything since she felt stifled in the neighbourhood and home Maheer resides in. Areeb's mother only glanced at Maheer and told Areeb to leave because they are done with what they came for. Everyone gets shocked and uneasy by Areeb's mother's harsh behaviour.

Despite the fact that it was an intense episode, it was poorly handled since we had trouble connecting the dots between the events that took place.Why did everyone blame Saad forgetting that he liked Maheer yet they decided to believe him, beat him, and curse him when he suddenly refused to wed Maheer? Why is no one raising a concern about the timing of Saad's rejection and Maheer and Rafia's preparation for a different proposal? In terms of how the plot developed toward all the predicted outcomes, the episode was quite typical. However, Wahaj Ali's portrayal of Saad is the only thing keeping this drama interesting. Despite having few dialogues, he easily conveys so much that it causes you to have a knot in your throat. We're waiting to see what happens when Maheer marries Areeb since, most likely, that's when something unanticipated starts.

Until then, the drama's cast, particularly Wahaj Ali, is the only thing keeping it alive.

This episode showed how corrupt some lawyers in Pakistan can be and how they can be easily bought through the power of money and influence. Poor Abhaan might never get justice because Umer’s wealthy father has ensured that he loses the case. Meanwhile, Jawaid trusts his lawyer with a blind eye.

Wajiha’s new lawyer friend Arsalan (Fuqran Quraishi) advises that she should inform Khadija to change the lawyer because he is no longer loyal to the case. This infuriates Jawaid who leaves no stone unturned to character-assassinate Wajiha all over again. His narrow-mindedness and ignorance will probably destroy his whole family.

Even Azaan, who has been an exemplary child his whole teenage so far, is suffering from his father’s anger. All he is doing is supporting his mother in these tough times. He takes his mother to the Remand home so they can get a chance to meet Abhaan but they return without meeting him.

It is like doomsday has dawned upon Khadija since her child went to prison. But she gets the shock of her life upon realizing that Umer has passed away and now, nothing can save Abhaan. Javaid remains heartless in this situation and screams at Abhaan when he goes to meet his son after days in the Remand Home.

In another twist, the police find out that Abhaan takes drugs. This information is bound to complicate the case even further for him.

Hadiqa win hearts again

Pinjra is a masterpiece and every parent in Pakistan needs to watch and learn from the story. Hadiqa Kiani has proved to us time and again that her acting is impeccable. She embraces every role with aplomb and this time she has yet again surprised us all with her flawless acting as Khadija.

The next episode's promo shows that her character will be on the verge of collapsing now that her husband is constantly gaslighting her for the tragedy that has fallen on their home. But this is just the start of their struggles. Umer’s father will use all his strength and power to bring down Abhaan. How will Khadija and Jawaid keep their family from breaking apart? Of course, Abhaan is in trouble and his father’s wrath is more severe on him than ever before. In this episode, we see that he has been sent to jail. No one really can understand that Abhaan got furious as Umar was mocking his sister, Abeer.

Umar’s father turns out to be a rich, influential personality who is heartless and wants to Abhaan behind bars. So much so, he commands his lawyers to ensure he doesn’t get bailed and faces the worst torture in jail.

Khadija cannot fathom the thought of his youngest son behind bars. Azaan is heartbroken with the anguish of his younger brother in misery, Meanwhile, Jawaid is irritable and annoyed more than ever before. Quite rudely, he blames Wajiha for spoiling his children and blames her son and daughter for being a bad influence on his family.

Poor Wajiha was being a true friend in need. But it seems she is now all set to find a true companion in Arsalan (Fuqran Quraishi). He is a lawyer and will surely be the hero the story needs.

What is to happen next?

The promo of the next episode shows that Umar has died. However, Arsalan advises Wajiha that Abhaan’s father should quickly change his lawyer. Amidst all this, we just feel bad for Abhaan and how much suffering he is undergoing.

When it was actually a love marriage, Asad made his mother believe into thinking that he did it at her request.

Rumi resolves to do things Fehmida's (Saba Faisal) way and does her best to avoid creating further difficulties for herself. She doesn't want to face Asad's wrath after seeing how cunning and two-faced her mother-in-law can be. Asad, his mother, Zuni (Maryam Noor), and Maheen (Aliya Ali) challenge her with more difficult problems this week. To make Rumi responsible for all of the household chores, her mother-in-law fired the housekeeper. She tripped and injured herself while mopping the floor. However, Asad's mother led him to believe that it was her negligence that caused her to trip and fall. But just as Asad leaves, she accuses Rumi of controlling Asad and tells her that if she hires a maid, she would be held accountable for whatever happens. Meanwhile, Rumi discovers her sister-in-law, Zuni (Maryam Noor) speaking to her boyfriend when she is on call. When Rumi confronts Zuni, she declines right away.

This infuriates Rumi’s mother-in-law who feels that her daughter is being unfairly blamed and slaps Rumi. Fehmida completely alters the story when Asad arrives home, portraying Rumi in bad light. Asad asks Rumi to stop causing trouble because his mother can't handle any stress after having a heart attack and believes Rumi is lying about his sister and about getting slapped. Even though Rumi is terribly devastated, she makes an effort to keep her feelings for Asad intact and apologizes to him.

With persistent pressure from her Phuppo (Hina Rizvi), Rumi's father Tahir (Javed Sheikh) banishes his son from the family after he refused to wed his niece Ramsha (Anushay). He was shot by mobile snatchers while he was outside at night, suffering injuries. This made Tahir understand how wrong it was of him to force his decision on his son. Everyone agreed to Zaira's (Rumi's best friend) proposal as a result of the entire episode and Rumi's persuasion. It is clear that Humna (Amna Malik) is upset about this. However, it appears that Guria (Hina Rizvi) is hatching some evil scheme and won't be able to rest until she marries Haris and Ramsha. Both Humna and her mother want the sisters settled in their uncle's home, and establish their rule.

This week's episodes made it quite evident that nothing in Rumi's story would be simple. She does, however, start to speak up a little and defend herself after Maheen provokes her. Sami Khan's portrayal of his character as a stern spouse and the type of guy we see in every family has greatly impressed us. Fehmida is superbly portrayed by Saba Faisal, who effectively makes us hate the wicked mother-in-law she is playing. Alizeh Shah occasionally overacts as Rumi, making the performance look forced. We are anxious to learn what else Rumi's fate has in store for her.

We watch it every Wednesday and remember the late legendary writer, Asma Nabeel for Pinjra is amongst her last work and it is no less than a literary gem. The drama indeed has us all hooked on the storyline and social media cannot stop praising it for harboring a powerful plot.

The cast of Omair Rana as Jawaid, Hadiqa Kiani as Khadija, and Sunita Marshal as Wajiha along with the child stars- Aashir Wajahat as Azaan, Aina Asif as Abeer and Ahmed Usman as Abhaan are delivering phenomenal performances in their respective roles.

Let’s review what happened in the latest episode of the drama and what we are expecting next from the story.

Abhaan starts taking drugs

The episode begins with Abhaan forging his father’s signature on a test he failed. However, his smart elder brother Azaan, who has been tutoring him, guesses that Abhaan has failed his test and has hidden the assessment. He explains that hiding the papers is a habit that will land him in trouble and drive him to a path of lies and deceit.

There is a new addition in Abhaan’s life- a classmate that is surely all trouble and no good. He traps our child hero into taking drugs, ensuring him that taking the small pill will erase all of his troubles.

From here begins Abhaan’s drug addiction. It starts affecting him, diving himself into a world of his own. He gets sloppy, slow, and distant from everyone- causing him to face all the more heat from his father and mother.

To make things worse, he also finds out that one of his music videos was spotted by an entertainment show ‘Basement’ and the producers want to feature him in the upcoming season. Upon realizing, that this news was hidden from him on purpose, he feels all the more depressed and rebellious.

Packed with misery, he breaks his guitar and the ruckus attracts the attention of his father, Javaid. How his outburst will pan out for him in the future, we are yet to find out in the upcoming episode.

In another subplot, we see Wajiha warming up to a new stranger, essayed by Fuqran Qureshi. But her daughter Dua gets kidnapped by her own daughter, which sends her into another spiral. She gets hurt all the more when Javaid blames her for being absent from her children’s lives and being poor at motherhood.

Karma to hit Javaid?

We have seen Javaid as one of the most toxic characters in the show. In the promo of the next episode, we see him blaming his wife and admonishing her for talking back to him. He believes in patriarchy and is truly a chauvinist at heart. He hates the fact that Wajiha works and reprimands his wife, Khadija when she meets her only true friend in the world.

But it seems that fate is about to teach Javaid a lesson. We see his elder son Azaan already realizing the ill effects of his father’s suppressive parenting. Abaan is walking the track of doom. He is next going to steal money to buy drugs from his new classmate. Abeer too is mingling with the wrong crowd in her school. Where will this all take Javaid and Khadija? It will undoubtedly be a path of guilt, regret, and no turning back.

Meanwhile, we see Wajiha, who is a working mom, raising children who are inspired by her courage and hide nothing from her. The story is a clear example that a dominating and oppressive parenting style is no longer the right tactic for Gen Z.

Parenting Gone Wrong

In Pinjra, we witness two sets of parents- Jawaid and Khadija, and the other the single parent, Wajiha. Khadija and Jawaid are strict, and controlling and harbor strong feelings of mistrust toward their children. Screaming and hitting the kids is very common in their household. Unfortunately, the word ‘loser’ is hurled a lot at the younger one -Abhaan, who needs the most attention. Their social media usage is banned and of course, no one is allowed a cell phone. Only the elder son Azaan is rewarded with one when he becomes a head boy.

Meanwhile, Wajiha is that cool, friendly mom everyone wants to have! She trusts her kids and believes she needs to make them grow rather than suffocate. She is best friends with Khadija and strongly disapproves of the way she treats her children. We can see that Wajiha’s children dote on their mom for she lets them walk with the world, and is soft and supportive.

Her children too are obedient and the two siblings also have a healthy relationship with each other. Despite freedom, they have learned not to misuse it or step into any sort of trouble. On the contrary, strict parenting hasn’t worked for Khadija and Jawed’s children. Only Azaan is the compliant one while Abeeha and Abhaan are rebellious. The two younger siblings are fed up with the restrictions and are in the constant shadow of their elder brother. Consequently, they adopt unhealthy habits to feel free and their parents have no idea what their children have stepped into.

Take on Child Physiology

We have to laud Pinjra for using entertainment to educate parents about how children are evolving with time. There was an age when strict parenting was considered to be the best way to prepare children for a productive adulthood. But it was indeed a different era.

With the world changing and being dominated by social media, the youth wants to be seen, heard, and trusted. They despise being compared to their siblings, are crushed when their parents scream at them and lose all self-confidence when they are called a ‘loser’. The more you tell them to stop doing something and suppress them into submission, the more they will walk the path of rebellion. We see this happening with Abeeha and Abhaan.

At the same time, children grow when you include them in major life decisions as Wajiha did with her children when separating from their father. The mother trusts them and lets them enjoy life while teaching them right and wrong. She encourages them and ensures she has only words of positivity to empower them. There is no comparison among siblings in Wajeeha’s house and we can see that sans a father, the walls of their home are painted with love.

Addressing Sibling Rivalry

It is an old-fashion practice amongst desi parents to desire all children to be like that one ideal son or daughter. However, they fail to understand that every child is different and brings his own talents to the world. Constant comparison by parents amongst children not only makes the kids feel unloved but also lay a foundation of rivalry amongst one another.

We see such hatred between Azaan, Abhaan, and Abeeha. While Azaan seems to be at peace with his life, Abeeha and Abhaan are turning into jealous individuals. Their conversations are filled with mean remarks and sarcasm. We also see no love or respect among them for each other. The youngest son hates his elder brother and screams at him from time to time. He detests Azaan for being the ideal son, for being loved the most by their parents while he himself has to struggle to make his space in the house.

Addressing Teen Vaping

Vaping amongst teenagers has witnessed an alarming increase all over the world and statistics in Pakistan are no different. The habit exposes the user to nicotine, a highly addictive substance found in tobacco.

In the story, we see Abhaan using an e-cigarette as he experiences depression and feels unwanted by his parents. Where will this habit leaves him, we will discover in later episodes. But we are sure that it will lead him to no good. It's remarkable to see this new trend of vaping amongst adolescents being shown in Pinjra. It shows the plot is contemporary and is keen to spread awareness about potential evil rising in society.

An ode to Asma Nabeel

The legendary writer Asma Nabeel might not be with us. But Pinjra is a strong reminder of her intellect and creative streak. All her projects encompass profound messages amongst them and Pinjra is no different. It can easily be labeled as one of her best scripts.

The morals, the dialogue, and the idealogy behind this drama make us realize that we have lost a literary gem. However, we hope her work becomes a wake-up call for many parents and teach them to amend their ways. Hopefully, it will also educate teenagers on how to save themselves from harm while keeping up with the modern era and its trends.

Although reluctant, Meher agrees to return to the home that shamed her. But this time, respect and love awaited her from Firdaus, Samra (Srha Asghar), Junaid (Haroon Shahid), and her father-in-law. Only Zarrar (Imran Abbas) and Zuni (Saboor Aly) created an uproar upon her arrival.

But this time Meher had her mother-in-law’s support and no one could have prompted her to leave the house again. Salar’s nearness became a bonus for Zarrar who wants to take his child away from Meher. To be honest, his character had been easily manipulated throughout and he still believes that his first wife cheated on him.

While Firdaus is vying to create momentum in the house and oust Zuni for good, our vamp has her evil plans up her sleeve. Realizing that Zarrar will not be abandoning Salar, she feeds the poor child an overdose of the medicine which eventually ends up harming the child.

Meher and Zarrar rush their baby to the hospital and are told the cause of the baby’s ailment. The father is shocked to hear the news and divulges that he was the one who gave medicine to Salar with just the right dose. This will surely have his mind churning about Salar receiving an overdose of his medicine.

It was awful to witness Junaid wounded due to the accident. While all were sympathizing with him, Zarrar remained aloof. What will wake him up to realize that his Zuni is behind the turmoil in the house?

However, the next episode seems to bring an end to Zuni's villainy. Seems like Zarrar will finally be realizing her true colors. What will she do next? Try to end the marriage between Samra and her brother? Let’s wait and watch what will be her character’s fate in the saga.

Saboor Aly nails her acting game as Zuni

It's tough being a villain and having the audience hate you to the core. Saboor Aly did it all with such finesse that we will remember her as the insufferable Zuni for a long, long time. She could easily bag the award for the villain of the year for making us hate her whiny and petty character.

While Imran Abbas’s character is the hero in the story, he has gotten equally despicable. He is a doubtful husband and is easily used by Zuni. The character really needs to think on his own and his decisions shouldn’t be clouded due to his second’s wife constant accusations towards Meher.

All in all, we really want Zuni to be brought to book. What does fate have in store for her? We are curious to find out.

Our hero Azlan and Azka have had a rocky relationship from their first encounter, as fate would have it this has continued to date and the two absolutely despise each other. Not only does Azlan blame Azka for Shanaya’s untimely death but he also hates the fact that she visits her grave every day.

From Azka finally standing upto Abid, breaking off things with Zain and also answering back to Azlan. Yumna Zaidi’s character has had quite the development since she has become a doctor in the drama after 5 long years. She is now able to face the world confidently and speaks her mind without any fear of what the next thinks. She believes in the goodness of Allah and remains undettered by Azlan’s rude and crass behaviour towards her.

We loved the hospital scene between the duo where Azlan forbids her from visiting Shanaya’s grave, Azka tells him he has no right to stop her from going to the graveyard and she would not listen to him. However, we do feel the decision should not have been imposed on Kanwal and she should have been seen making the decision on her own accord. Our hearts went out to the young Aliya who was visibly upset watching her mother getting married and going away.

Has Zain and Azka’s Love Story Come to an End?

The last episode saw Azka breaking off her relationship with Zain whom she loved dearly. She did not wish for him to upset his parents and go against them to marry her. However, Zain decided to take matters in his own hands and went to visit his fiancé, telling her the truth about his past. This led to a domino effect where the girl broke off the engagement, Zain’s sister was then sent home packing and her husband decided to finally bring her back only to tell her she would no longer be ‘allowed’ to keep any relationship with her brother Zain. Shooting Competition Equally Owned by Women

The episode began with a perplexed Arzoo on her way to quit the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA). Noraiz and his heinous act of leaking her pictures to his friends compelled her to make the move. However, Major Samia and Major Samia came to her aid, stopping her from ending her career in the army. Together, they confronted Noraiz and gave him the reprimanding he deserved. It was empowering to see the vile Noraiz apologizing and finally leaving Arzoo to peacefully continue her life in PMA.

Even more inspirational to watch was witnessing the shooting competition between LCs and the male cadets. Apparently, LCs always lose in the shooting match against boys. However, this time Major Osama seems confident that at least one LC will go to the final round and make them all proud.

The whole squad of women is counting on Pariwash (Ramsha Khan) as she is the best amongst all at shooting at the target. She along with LC Shahista (Yumna Zaidi) and LC Arzoo (Syra Sharoz) participate in the contest. However, it is her alone amongst all the women who go through the semi-finals to reach the final.

It is tough for Pariwash to compete against men but it is even challenging for her to come face to face with the son of the Sardar of her tribe. The Sardar’s son surely recognized her and vehemently wanted to defeat her. What will happen in the third round? We will see it all in the upcoming episode.

We also came to know that Taimoor embraced martyrdom in an encounter with the terrorists. It was a moving scene to see how he became a Shaheed in front of his friend, Osama while requesting him to take care of his wife and daughter.

The promo of the next episode shows Pariwash getting defeated in the final round of the shooting contest by the son of Sardar. Shahista will be fighting with her emotions as she gets a new proposal from Kamil’s friend in the army. Rabia will yet again be pursued by Nasar (Asim Azhar) who will use her brother, Danyal (Usman Mukhtar) to connect with her yet again.

Empowering Scenes All Over

Sinfe Aahan won the hearts of the viewers with how smartly and tastefully Arzoo’s case was handled in the episode. Her story is the tale of a lot of women across Pakistan who undergo cyberbullying when their private pictures get leaked across the internet. In Arzoo’s case, her mentors in the army helped her and stood by her bold move to confront Noraiz.

The episode also established that women can be equally competent and outstanding shooters like men and their abilities should not be doubted.

We love how Dananeer makes us laugh every time with her character of LC Sidra. She is a born star. She is as apt at being an actor as she is being an Instagram influencer.

The drama picked up speed this Wednesday to gear up for a massive twist coming up soon in the tale. Seems like a dent in the love story of Mahir (Bilal Abbas) and Mehru (Hadiqa Kiani) will be hitting them hard.

** Of heart-attacks and harassment **

One of the major happenings of this episode was Mahir's father, Jehangir (Shabbir Jan) surviving a major heart attack. Already saddened by his son's isolation, his second wife continued to give him even more anguish with her constant insecurity of being replaced by a third wife. Burdened with too much stress, an-already ailing Jehangir was lucky to be in the hospital at the time of his attack. Mehru was immediately informed by the doctor who ensured that his family is alerted at once. While Mahir was least bothered with the news, Adeela (Fareeda Shabbir) rushed to the hospital where she discovered Mehru and blasted upon her for marrying her husband.

Mehru calmed her down and broke the news that she is Mahir's wife. Shocked by the revelation, Shagufta composed herself and instantly began to plan schemes to take advantage of the situation. Of course, Mehru appeared wealthy and affluent. Consequently, Mahir's stepmom tried to remain in her daughter-in-law's good books.

Meanwhile, Mahir became a hero at the office by exhibiting his responsible and intellectual side. However, Affan (Usama Khan) remained unimpressed and was jealous that his new, stepdad has been successful in handling the business.

Zameer (Nabeel Zuberi) is planning to mint money out of Mehru by forcing Minal (Maheen Siddiqui) to request a massive amount from her mother. Minal refused that she will not compromise on her self-esteem. Seems like this bold step will create challenges for her. Already, Zameer admonished her for kickstarting her own business of crafting cards. We are sure he will make her miserable for not complying with his demand.

It was distasteful to watch that Dobara showcased a woman planning a fake harassment scene to falsely accuse a man. In this case, phuppo (Sakina Samo) provoked Sehar (Sabeena Syed) to frame Mahir for harassing her. According to her, this was the only way to make Mahir leave home and family business.

On the other hand, Dobara shows Mahir standing up for the housemaid when an elderly male servant makes her uncomfortable. This addition to the plot is indeed applaud-worthy. However, we wish that the writer wouldn't have portrayed an aged woman in the house, persuading a younger girl to deceitfully target someone. Our entertainment fraternity needs to realize the gravity of such a matter and tread carefully while exhibiting such scenes in the dramas.

The storm is about to wreak havoc

The promo of the upcoming episode shows how Sehar follows phuppo’s bogus plan to falsely accuse Mahir of harassing her.

The incident turns Mehru’s whole world upside down. So much so, Mahir is shown leaving the house after his wife starts suspecting him. How will Mahir take this and will he plan revenge upon Mehru and his family? Let’s wait and watch.

However, it is repulsive to know that Sehar agreed to follow Phuppo’s sickening scheme. While YouTube comments are praising Mahir’s brave act of protecting a household servant, some are also highlighting that they disliked the insensitive scenes where Phuppo instigated Sehar to commit horrible wrongdoing of charging Mahir with harassment. How will social media handle this? Only time will tell.

Beyond your conventional family drama

They also aim to tread wisely while selecting the right families for their marriage, taking their daughter’s consent to ensure their happiness. However, fate appears to have other plans.

However, the strong women have been prepared to be fierce firecrackers all their life and surely, we will be witnessing their power-packed avatars in their respective sub-plots.

Azfar Rehman & Areeba Habib Possess the Cutest Romantic Equation

The much dominant pair of Taimoor as Azfar Rehman and Abeeha as Areeba Habib had the cutest scenes in the first episode. In fact, at the start of the story, we witness sweet moments that established their crackling romantic equation for the rest of the drama.

The couple is Nikkahfied in the story and awaits their Rukhsati till our hero completely establishes his dream business. Enjoying a wedlock relationship, the duo seems to make the most of their intimate phone conversations and sneaky meetups. Not only do they look stunning together, but their on-screen chemistry is also believable and was off the charts from their very first, adorable scene together.

Their summer love felt undeniably natural on-screen, with Abeeha making plans for their married life and Taimoor being respectful towards her loving demands. What’s more, their relationship seems unlike the rest of the women in the story. The early teasers revealed that a dysfunctional marriage is in store for the rest of the daughters. Will Abeeha and Taimoor prove to be an ideal couple in a dutiful marriage for the rest, let’s wait and watch.

Kudos to the seasoned stars Azfar Rehman and Areeba Habib, who ensured that they flawlessly deliver on-screen what their avatars demanded. Their sub-plot has left us craving for more and the promo of the next episode reveals a ‘dhamkaydaar’ shaadi in store for them. Can’t wait to witness more heart-fluttering moments from their sub-plot!

We finally received the answer to the much-awaited question of Mahir’s sincerity to Mehru in the story. What’s more, Mahir’s father too now is aware of what his son is up to.

A husband set to betray

The episode begins with Jehangir (Shabbir Jan) trying to start his faulty car. He apparently plans to go to the hospital to visit Mahir (Bilal Abbas). As he waits for a taxi on the road, he is spotted by Mehru (Hadiqa Kiani) who offers to give him a ride as she is also on her way to visit her husband.

Apparently, their unexpected meeting results in yet another heart-to-heart in which Jehangir openly questions her about how she could have fallen into Mahir’s deceiving trap. Our heroine makes it clear that she trusts Mahir with her life now that he has almost sacrificed his own life to save Affan (Usama Khan).

Little does Mehru know that Mahir indeed is a scheming husband, who is also immature. In a candid discussion with his friend Babar, Mahir divulges it all that he took this challenge of marrying a widow so he could show Narmeen how capable he has gotten after she left him. He wanted money to prove to her that he is not as weak as she thought he was and Mehru came into his life at the right time. When will he get over Narmeen and realize she was never the one for him? Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, Jehangir hears this not-so-shocking confession by his son and is now sure that his child is a devious fool. But will he tell it all to Mehru? Apparently, he intended to tell her everything and calls her until he realizes that Mehru is going out of her way so that he could receive medical help for his ailing condition. Why did he change his mind on the call? We will surely discover that in the upcoming episodes.

On the other side, unrest has developed amongst Phuppo, Zamir (Nabeel Zuberi), Minal (Maheen Siddiqui), Affan, and his wife, Sehar (Sabeena Syed). Affan refuses to contact his mother for she has not gotten back to him since the gun-shot incident. However, his wife, Zamir, and his sister are trying to make him understand that he will lose both the property and his worth in the house if he continues to be an ego-centric stubborn son.

Phuppo doesn’t intend to give up and is determined to spread discord in the family. Will Affan bow down and contact his mother? The promo of the next episode hints at a brewing battle between Mehru and her family. She has decided that she will give the command of the business to Mahir and this has wreaked havoc in the lives of all those against this bold move.

Shabbir Jan becomes the story’s prominent force

In the past few weeks, Shabbir Jan had a meager screen presence. But the twist in the episode paved a way for Jehangir’s character to be in the spotlight and we are loving all his scenes so far. The veteran actor has yet again moved us with his performance as a helpless, weak husband and a father. His scenes with Hadiqa strike a chord in our hearts, as all of them are emotional and heart-warming.

We also loved Javed Sheikh’s mini appearance in this episode and as usual, he made us smile with his quips in the small scene.
Feedback on YouTube reveals how much everyone is angry at Mahir for being a typical gold-digger who marries an elderly partner for money. However, various comments by women, explaining how they married older men due to family pressure, make us realize the plight of young girls who are pushed into marriages with men more mature than them.

At the end of the day, understanding matters between couples and forced relationships never work. Let’s see where Dobara takes us ahead in the upcoming weeks. Will Mahir have a change of heart?

Will he see the true love displayed by Mehru? We surely hope so!

The fact remains that the drama has garnered a strong social media following with loyal viewers who will be sticking to the story till the very end. The return of Mahir

We truly missed Mahir’s (Bilal Abbas) character in the last episode and so did his father, mother, and the servants who had gotten fond of him.

Apparently, with our hero, struggling between life and death; people around him realized his worth, including his new bride Mehru (Hadiqa Kiani). She was surely skeptical of his loyalty, but now that he has sacrificed himself for Affan (Usama Khan); Mahir has gained her blind-folding trust.

The minute Mahir gain consciousness, Zamir (Nabeel Zuberi) summons the police to take his statement. Deep down, a scheming Zamir wants chaos and havoc in Mehru’s life so that he can have complete control of the business.

However, his plan backfires when Mahir gives a false statement to the cops, stating that he was mugged and shot outside his home. Witnessing this all, Mehru gets floored and with her heart in her hand, she openly declares that she has sold herself to him.

Mahir acts modest and tries to reassure her that he is always there to protect her. What is going on in his mind, we will find out soon! He believes that getting shot by Affan has fallen to his advantage and he plans to take full benefit of the opportunity that has fallen in his lap.

Meanwhile, Mahir’s recovery has created a frenzy in the lives of Minal (Maheen Siddiqui), Affan, and his wife, Sehar (Sabeena Syed). They are all under the impression that Mahir will now make their lives miserable and will take revenge. What's more, everyone is anxious that Mahir will usurp the entire business and property.

The promo of the next episode reveals Mehru professing her unshakable confidence in Mahir. Meanwhile, Mahir is seen declaring that Narmeen has always been her one true love.

Bilal Abbas an Acting Powerhouse

After a whole week, Bilal Abbas returned with some prominent scenes in Dobara and reminded us that no one could have portrayed Mahir better than him.

Saved from the gunshot, Mahir is back to his cheeky self and Bilal ensured that he aptly delivers what his avatar demands. Lying on the hospital bed he is vigorous in his performance, making us laugh during the scenes with his friend Babar.

Apart from Hadiqa and Bilal, we also need to applaud the supporting cast of Sakina Samo, Usama Khan, Nabeel Zuberi, Maheen Siddiqui, and Sabeena Sayed for exhibiting compelling performances. Kudos to the team of director Danish Nawaz and writer Sarwat Nazir for making Dobara one of the best watches of the season.

Upon their homecoming, we could witness the transformation in their personalities after living and training in Kakul. They are stronger, more confident and their view of the world has drastically changed.

However, this is just the beginning of so many more endeavors to kickstart in their lives. Let’s take a quick review of what happened in Sinfe Aahan this week and what are we expecting next to happen.

The much-awaited homecoming

The Lady Cadets (LCs) are excited to return to their cities and hug their families. However, they have to pass their uniform and salute test to get approval to visit their homes.

The project makers paid a lot of attention to this part of the episode and showed in detail the saluting test of every trainee. Mahjabeen (Kubra Khan) is the only one, amongst the squad of Rabia (Sajal Aly), Arzoo (Syra Shahroz), Shahista (Yumna Zaid), Nathmy (Yehali Tashiya), Sidra (Dananeer), and Pariwash (Ramhsa Khan), who fails her test and stays at the acadmey

The rest are exuberant to finally get a break from the PMA life and pass their test. However, Nathmy has to stay back as she is unable to travel to Sri Lanka. Upon discovering this, Rabia hatches a plan to take this matter to Major Samia so she could request the Sri Lankan Embassy in Pakistan to allow Nathmy to visit Islamabad with Rabia.

The two cadets seem to be getting along and are excited at the prospect of spending time together away from Pakistan Military Academy (PMA).

Fortunately, the embassy grants the approval and Rabia swears to protect her Sri Lankan friend with her life. While Mahjabeen stays at Kakul and practices to perfect her salute, the rest are traveling back to their towns. Pariwash and her father encounter their village’s Sardar during their trip to him. The leader offers them a ride in his jeep and Pariwash assumes that this is a positive sign. Consequently, she puts forth the request in front of the Sardar to free her father’s land once she can repay the loan from her PMA salary. While the Sardar is silent, our heroine’s father is worried that this plea will not be welcomed so easily by the leader of the tribe.

Kamil (Junaid Jamshed) greets Shahista to take her back home, who remains nonchalant while meeting him. Although she expresses her gratitude to her fiancée for helping her throughout her journey to PMA, she also puts forward an idea of breaking off their engagement. It's evident that Kamil loves her and has shown it profusely too. Why would Shahista want to get rid of a man who won’t stand in her way of empowerment? Only time will tell.

Arzoo’s homecoming is the most power-packed of all. We all remember how she was followed on the streets in the early episodes and chose to ignore the creepy men who bothered her. But this time, she stands up to her harassers and teaches them a lesson they won't forget. With some punches and tight slaps, she makes them ask for her forgiveness. The entire neighborhood witnesses the episode and is in awe of Arzoo and her strength.

Meanwhile, Nathmy finds a home in Rabia’s family and enjoys the company of her parents. The Sri Lankan cadet is adorable in her Urdu delivery and expresses her love for Biryani and Kebab. It was a heart-warming sight to see her bonding with a Pakistani family who skipped nothing in pampering her and being hospitable.

Women empowerment at its best

Sinf e Aahan has now fans not only just in Pakistan but also in Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh. YouTube comments beneath the episode show how viewers worldwide are watching the story and loving the portrayal of women in the army.

In this episode, Pariwash and Arzoo won our hearts with their bravery. Pariwash continues to be her father’s strength and is determined to fulfill his dream of owning his land, again. The way she confidently discusses the matter with the tribe’s leader made us proud of her. This character continues to be fearless, courageous, and hard-working towards her father’s right!

Arzoo was a warrior when she handled the rowdy men in the neighborhood. This daring came from the army training she has received so far. With the scene, her character became a role model for so many women harassed and ogled every day on the streets.

The next episode will make us meet Asim Azhar’s character in the story. What value will his character add to the tale, let’s wait and watch!

We finally found out who got shot from the duel between Affan and Mahir. However, the episode last night was quite filmy and packed with drama.

One thing is for sure: Hadiqa Kiani and Bilal Abbas have raised the bar in Dobara. We are loving their pair and their apt performances. The team of writer Sarwat Nawaz and director Danish Nawaz have made this story worth watching for all generations, leaving profound lessons for everyone to learn from.

Mahir battles between life and death

Although, there wasn’t much development in the story this week; the makers took a lot of time to reveal what happened in the duel between Mahir (Bilal Abbas) and Affan (Usama Khan).

It all started when Phuppo (Sakina Samo) breaks it to Affan that her mother has tied the knot with Mahir. Upon realizing that Mehru has married again- that too with a young man his age- the hot-headed Affan gets furious to the point of getting violent.

He threatens to kill him and warns him to leave his mother. Mahir, in his aim to establish that he isn’t going anywhere, ends up infuriating him even more. So much so, Affan takes the gun from the guard and points it at Mahir in a filmy scene outside the house.

Our hero tries to warn him that he will go to jail if he kills him. A maniacal Affan, eventually, decides to kill his own self to save himself from the humiliation of society. Rain begins to fall right at that moment. Mahir tries to take away the gun from him and of course, gets shot in the chest!

Next, we see that the victim is being rushed to the hospital on a gurney and doctors are rushing to save him. Unfortunately, Mehru is all alone with no family member at her side to be her strength. She is helpless, in tears, and in fear of losing Mahir.

The doctors have made it clear that they managed to save Mahir, but he is still in critical condition to the point he can die. Meanwhile, Zamir is having a field day realizing that it’s a great opportunity to get rid of both Affan and Mahir. If Mahir dies and Affan goes to jail, he will own Mehru’s entire business. Consequently, he makes no plans to save Affan from the cops and tells them the whole tale.

Affan is scared but is also acting foolishly. To find a safe spot for himself, he finds shelter with his in-laws who are now desperate to save him.

On the other hand, Jehangir (Shabbir Jan) visits the hospital upon knowing the news of Mahir in the hospital. He has a sweet heart-to-heart with a tear-stricken Mehru and divulges that he only lives, knowing Mahir is breathing and is healthy. In an emotional scene, he makes it clear that he has accepted Mehru as his daughter-in-law.

The promo of the next episode shows Mahir gaining consciousness and confessing to the police that he was shot by Affan. But will he let go of all charges and save him from going to jail? We think that’s highly possible. This way, he will strengthen Mehru’s trust in him all the more.

Queen Hadiqa Rules the Episode

One look at the YouTube comments beneath Dobara’s episode reveals that she has won the hearts of all her fans. The viewers are all praised for her acting, claiming that she is a natural performer and made them cry along with her.

Bilal Abbas had little screen presence this week. Hence, all limelight was on Kiani. She shined in every scene. Her anxious expressions were on point and her portrayal as the apprehensive wife was flawless. The singer has proven that her acting talent is as good as her singing skills. We would love to see her performing all the more. She is graceful and knows how to own the frame.

Surely, Mehru will know trust Mahir with her life, given that he almost sacrificed himself to save her son. Will Mahir be exploiting this firm faith or will he too fall in love with her eventually? Dobara has us all buzzing with questions and has truly left us wanting more.

So much so, we are still clueless about where the plot is heading and what is next planned by the makers of the drama. However, we are religiously praying for the leading characters of Zarrar and Meher to reunite.

Qaiser’s unexpected farewell

Over the weeks, the story revolved around the twisted marriage lives of Zarrar (Imran Abbas), Meher (Urwa Hocane), Junaid (Haroon Shahid), Zuni (Saboor Aly), Samra (Srha Asghar), and Raheel (Salman Saeed). It was unfortunate to witness that not a single pair was in peace, their relationship only walking the path of dysfunctionality.

Things get worse when Malik Furqan (Babar Ali) catches Meher trying to flee the house. He cages her in her room so that she does not dare to run off. However, our heroine has made up her mind that no more she can stay with her deceitful uncle. She hatches a plan with her aunt Saeeda (Saima Qureshi) to sneakily escape right under his nose. But fate had something else planned for them all.

Apparently, Meher pretends to be sick and takes Saeeda’s aid to visit the hospital. From there, she intends to run away so that her uncle cannot stop her from breaking free. However, during the journey to the hospital, Malik Furqan gets a call from home that Qaiser (Gohar Rasheed) has gotten terribly sick.

Who knew, that upon returning to the house, they will all find Qaiser lifeless. They take him to the hospital where the doctor declares him dead! It is like the sky has fallen on Saeeda who collapses from the grief of losing his son. Of course, she blames it all on her husband who has always despised his specially-abled son.

Meanwhile, Zarrar meets Raheel in private so he can defuse the heated situation. However, he is not successful in saving Samra’s home. On the other hand, Junaid makes full plans to marry his friend Laraib, with whom he has found peace and love.

However, he doesn’t realize what doom it will bring upon the entire family. The attention-seeker Zuni is already trying her best to seek the sympathy of all, especially that of Zarrar. However, poor Samra is impacted the most from all the chaos. She is with child and is suffering from severe mental anguish of her marriage about to end.

Gohar Rasheed will be missed!

Since the start of the story, we wished deep down that Qaiser will recover. We hoped that there will be a miracle and all the medical treatments done on him will prove fruitful. The last thing we predicted was his death happening in the story. The writer, indeed, surprised us all with this astonishing turn of events.

How his death will impact the lives of the character? We are guessing Meher will no longer have the threat of getting forcefully married to him. Probably, Malik Furqan will realize how his actions are bringing pain to people around him. We wanted to see more of Gohar in this avatar. However, his small role in the drama proved how versatile he is as an actor. He truly aced his role and his performance spoke volumes about his acting prowess.

The next episode will seemingly be even more power-packed than ever before. Junaid will be marrying again and will dreadfully impact the lives of all around him. Amanat is getting more interesting all the more. Fingers crossed for all that will unfold in the upcoming week.

However, in the second teaser, we see Komal Meer as Roshan Ara and her romantic interest Ali Rehman Khan as Bakhtiar. She appears to be someone who aspires to take over the throne and wants to bring down Badshah Begum.

Explaining the essence of Pakistan's national anthem

Last week, we realized that Kiran (Sonia Mishal) had a beau in the past who was also in the army. This weekend, we got a full-fledged throwback into the love story of Taimoor and Kiran. The pair has aspirations and huge dreams for their future. But even then Taimoor knew he will be a martyr and seems like he did sacrifice his life for Pakistan, leaving a mourning Kiran to reminisce the beautiful time they spent together.

She meets a friend and tries her best to avoid her. She is running away from her as her friend believes she is with Taimoor. We are confused if whether she was married to him before he passed away. Seems like this mystery will be solved in the upcoming episodes.

Meanwhile, the lady cadets (LCs) have a tough time performing during the drill session. But back home, their parents are proud of them and cannot stop singing praises of their daughters joining Pakistan Military Academy.

The best moment of the episode was Major Usama’s (Shehryar Munawar) speech, explaining the essence of our country’s national anthem. The scene left us with goosebumps and made us comprehend our ‘qaumi tarana’ in a whole new light. It was indeed emotional for viewers and the LCs too could be seen teary-eyed, their hearts filled with pride and love for Pakistan.

When the national anthem was played in the episode, we stood in respect and were in awe of the glorious scenes where all cadets stood tall, their souls pumped up with all the patriotism and fervor to serve their motherland.

The friendship between Rabia (Sajal Aly) and Shahista (Yumna Zaidi) is gaining strength, and so does the bond between Mahjabeen (Kubra Khan) and Pariwash (Ramsha Khan). By the end of the episode, we see a clueless squad of LCs being instructed to write letters back home to their favorite family member. Next week, we will see every girl’s preferred addressee and what they will have to say to them. More comedy and some action-packed scenes await us next week. What’s more, Rabia will discover a deep secret of LC Nathmy.

Thumbs up for Shehryar Munawar and Dananeer

Undoubtedly, women are steering Sinf e Aahan and we are loving a glimpse into the life of lady cadets in the PMA. But it was Shehryar Munawar that stole all the spotlight this week.

The scene in which he describes how the national anthem helps the army men and women fight for the homeland was indeed challenging. The actor is addressing the whole nation in this scene. He had to touch hearts, pump us with love for Pakistan and make us realize why we should be ready to serve the country when needed.

The hero indeed pulled it off, portraying an impeccable performance and doing justice to the scene. We could see how Shehryar himself meant every word he was delivering as Major Usama.

Dananeer has limited scenes, as she is essaying a supporting role but is gaining immense appreciation as Sidra. She is hilarious, bubbly, and energetic. Who knew the ‘Pawri girl’ was a natural actor all along.

We also loved how the parents of all the cadets had positive things to say about the army and the daughters and the path their daughters have selected for themselves.

Sinf e Aahan has successfully become an addictive watch, perhaps even more than Ehd e Wafa. Let’s see where the story heads next in the upcoming weeks.
