Pakistani veteran actress Marina Khan has joined A&B productions as the Business Unit Head , where she will look after all the production aspects of the serials made by the production house.

Earlier in 2010, A&B productions partnered with the leading entertainment channel of that time Geo entertainment, all thanks to their earlier hits like 'Mein Abdul Qadir hoon' and 'Qaid e Tanhai'. With Geo, they gave gems like 'Aik Nayi Cindrella' and the popular sitcom 'Kis din mera viyaah howega'.

The production house was formed by Asif Raza Mir and Babar Javed in 2009 when media was in its boom and entertainment channels were sprouting out from every nook and corner. Things have calmed down on the entertainment end of the media scene but the production houses still have many outlets to promote their work on.

The production house has been in a state of flux with founders Asif Raza Mir and Babar Javed heading their separate ways.

Marina Khan entered the back end of the television industry with her popular serial 'Tum hi tou ho' starring Humayun Saeed, Atiqa Odho and Vaneeza Ahmed. She showed the world that she is not only a great actor but can also be a great director.

Later, the 'Dolly/Taakay ki ayegi baraat' series on Geo was a game changer. Characters like Saima Chaudhry and Dolly have stayed with the audience and after almost a decade we got to see a fun serial where nobody was trying to steal anyone’s husband and no saas was planning to burn her bahu off. The script was definitely star of the show but Marina khan’s direction ensured that it was translated flawlessly on screen.
