Are you planning to go to the cinemas for the Independence Day celebrations? Obviously yes! Count your lucky stars because chances of you bumping into many of your fave showbiz stars are high as going to the theater Independence Day is high on their list too.

Nearly after four decades, three Pakistani films will be screened on August 14th. No wonder, our stars are so excited about watching them.

Movies screening on Independence Day


Based on the life of boxer Hussain Shah, the film is directed and written by Adnan Sarwar who has also played the lead role in the movie. The remaining cast includes Kiran Chaudhary, Sardar Baloch, Adeel Raees, and Gulab Chandio.

Dekh Magar Pyar Say

A rom-com by advertising guru Asad ul Haq features the gorgeous Humaima Malick and the dashing Sikander Rizvi in lead roles. The film is primarily shot in Lahore.


It is Jami Mehmood's second directorial venture after '021' and so far it has earned rave reviews for its brilliant cinematography. The film is based on the closure of the Zhob Valley railways in 1984. The film's cast includes Hameed Sheikh, Samiya Mumtaz, Shaz Khan, Abdul Qadir, Sonya Hussyn, Ayaz Samoo, Ali Sheikh, Shabbir Rana, Habib Panazayi, and Azlan Shah.
