The multifaceted actor Ahsan Khan has won us over many times with his trendy and chic appearances on television, but this time he is all set to impress us as a desi Shams of Preet Na Kariyo Koi on Hum TV.

The upcoming play has already grabbed attention with its captivating promos depicting the rural culture of Pakistan.

Written by Amna Mufti of Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahin and directed by Muhammad Ehtesham Uddin, the play is expected to be the next big drama of 'Moomal Productions'.

The cast includes Ahsan Khan, Hira Salman, Rehan Sheikh, Hassan Noman, Farhana Maqsood, Saman Ansari, Irfan Khoosat, and Noor Khan.

The serial's lead actor spoke to us about the serial and stated:

“In an attempt to make our dramas look trendy we sometimes present characters which may be larger than life, but they are far from real. Fortunately, after a long time, a play is about to come which will show the real culture of Pakistan," he said.

He further added that it is a culture based drama and quite different from run of the mill, saas bahu cliched plays.

Khan has impressed us several times with many notable performances in epic plays like Daastan, Pani Jaisa Pyar, and Neeyat. Once again he has experimented with an unusual script.

Khan plays an aspiring politician in the play who won’t hesitate to go to any length to fulfill his desires.

“Our characters in plays are usually either white or black and it’s hard to find a role which shows a man in its actual circumstances. Humans are bound to make errors and there is nothing wrong; especially if you learn a lesson from it. My role in the play is of an ordinary dehahti larka who inspires to be someone very influential,” he said

The drama has mostly been shot in interior Punjab, Hyderabad, and Karachi and it is expected to air soon.
