‘Main Apne baba ke beti hon, Raees Shabir Ahmed ka aur apna haq liye baghair mai sukoon se nahi bethoongi,’ says Hareem, played by Sanam Chaudhry in the promo of her upcoming serial Tere Meray Beech.
So who is Hareem and how is she different from others?
‘Hareem ek toofan hai jahan jaati hai tabhai machete hai’ says another character in the serial describing the lead heroine of the serial. To find out exactly how disastrous Hareem is, HIP contacted Sanam Chaudhry who shared details of her role in Tere Meray Beeche.
“Hareem is a young girl who has been adopted by her aunt in childhood. She now lives with her super-rich uncle and aunt in a small village in interior Sindh,” she said.
Chaudhry, who has mostly played girl-in-the-city characters in plays such as Aasmano Pe Likha and Nikkah, has decided to portray a bubbly gaon ki gori in her upcoming serial.
“I have played an illiterate girl in the play who has all the luxuries of life at her disposal, but she regrets not getting a formal education,” the actress said.
Chaudhry plays Agha Ali’s love interest in the drama, but their love story has an interesting twist. Directed by Mohsin Talat, the play has been penned by Atiya Dawood and will air on Hum TV from November 29 at 9:10pm.
She also added that she has put her heart and soul in the serial and expects it to be one of the best drama serials of her career.
Apart from Karachi, the drama has been shot in interior Sindh including Hyderabad and Nawabshah.
The leading cast includes Sanam Chahudhry, Agha Ali, Javed Sheikh, Hina Bayat, Saba Faisal, Noor Hassan, and Mariam Ansari.
Chaudhry is currently busy shooting another serial for Hum TV named Khatputli. She is also set to debut on silver screen next year with Crew Motion Pictures' film Ishq 2020.
