Shaan celebrates 25 years in cinema with 'Arth 2' shoot

Film star Shaan Shahid has completed 25 successful years in Pakistani cinema with over 500 movies to his credits.

The actor began the silver jubilee celebration by officially starting the shoot of his upcoming film Arth 2 in Lahore. The yesteryear actress and Shahid’s mother, Neelo Shahid, gave the first clap for the shoot.

Produced by AAA motion pictures, HHC entertainment, and 5th Element Arth 2 has been written and directed by Shaan Shahid himself. The film's music has been given by Sahir Ali Bagga and the of the film includes Humaima Malick and Mohib Mirza.

Arth 2 is a remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s old Hindi film Arth. The film is about an extra-marital affair of a filmmaker with an actress. Shahid has taken official permission from the Indian filmmaker before announcing the project. Bhatt has great hopes with him and he appreciated it in an interview with Dawn.

The actor made his debut with Bulandi in 1990 opposite Reema Khan – the film rose both of them to new heights of fame and success. Considered as the super star of Pakistani cinema, he has received multiple awards for his performances including 'Pride of Performance,' four 'National Film Awards,' fifteen 'Nigar Awards', five 'Lux Style Awards', one Pakistan 'Media Award' and one 'ARY Film Award'.
