The most anticipated ARY Digital film Ho Mann Jahaan had the second highest ‘day one’, in terms of business, ever for a Pakistani film. It had a successful opening day in terms of business earning around Rs 1.4 crore with 203 shows, ARY officials confirmed to HIP. Ho Mann Jahaan earned approximately Rs 1.5 crore on day two and had 190 shows.

The point to keep in mind is that JPNA was released over the Eid holidays and according to Box Office Detail HMJ had 20% less shows as compared to other big banner films due to its long duration. Asim Raza’s film has been given lesser shows because of its long duration. Despite getting lesser shows, HMJ has done exceedingly well on its first day as compared to Pakistani films such as Bin Roye (Rs 0.425 crore worldwide), Wrong Number (Rs 0.75 crore), Jalaibee (Rs 1 crore), and Waar (Rs 1.14 crore).

Ho Mann Jahaan’s team had gone all out to promote the film and was successful in creating positive hype regarding it. They are now reaping benefits as weekend shows are already sold out and the film is doing quite well in small centres (Gujranwala, Hyderabad, etc.) too.

If we compare HMJ’s figures to recent releases such as Prem Rattan Dhan Payo and Dilwale; then HMJ left PRDP behind by 24 lacs, but Shahruk khan-Kajol starrer Dilwale had earned Rs 2.12 crore on day one leaving behind HMJ. Dilwale had more shows as compared to HMJ.
