Ainy Jaffery looks ethereal in ‘The Timeless Bride’ collection

"If the Earth were a single state, Istanbul would be its capital," Napoleon Bonaparte once said. Keeping that in mind Farah Talib Aziz chose the Balu Mahi lead actress Ainy Jaffery for her ‘The Timeless Bride’ collection.
Karachi’s highly coveted boutique designer, Farah Talib Aziz has been creating customized couture for almost a decade and is now introducing a capsule bridal collection, 'The Timeless Bride'.
The label focuses on the contemporary bride’s need to feel extraordinary and unique on her special day, hence crafting her ideal ensemble that is made exclusively just for her.
“A timeless piece is made when past and present intermingle so intangibly that one stands in awe of its wonderful sophistication,” says Farah Talib Aziz.
For this collection Farah Talib Aziz looked towards the rich heritage that Istanbul holds; its bygone era – the rose tint of nostalgia guided her to re-imagine the glamour of the most fascinating city on earth in a captivating foray of a collection: delicate embellishments, translucent silks, and a ruffle of lace. Similar to the city of Istanbul, which brings together the charm of Europe and indulgence of Asia with a magical seal, the collection brings the varied, but timeless elements to life with the subcontinent’s signature silhouettes including Kalidaar Angharkhas and Farshi Ghararas as well as a contemporary flair using peplum cholis and high-low jackets.
Representing the label is the super talented Ainy Jaffery, whose warm welcoming charm, made the shoot natural and fun. The make-up was done by the incredibly skillful Shaarqa Ali, a London based make up artist who flew in to Istanbul for the shoot.
Farah Talib Aziz’s work exudes effeminate opulence, garnished with her signature embroidery and baroque motifs. Her design philosophy is to magnify femininity, with the help of regally draped cloth and expert artisans, while maintaining a form of elegant sophistication.
Stunning audiences with intricate detail and a strong sense of beauty, the designer creates luxe classic pieces that modernize traditions and serve as cherished legacies.
