People were eager to have a click on the red carpet with team Bachanna. Sanam Saeed and Amna Sheikh were my picks for the evening. They were looking ethereal and beaming with joy. Many stalwarts from media industry such as Sarmad and Irfan Khoosat came to support the movie. This is quite heartening as Pakistan film industry needs this support to achieve its desired status.

About the movie:

The movie is described as Indo-Pak love story, but it is not as what people expected. The film tells us about a Pakistani taxi-driver, Vicky (Mohib Mirza) helping an Indian girl, Alia (Sanam Saeed) to save her from her husband who is a drug dealer. They both are on a run in Mauritius to save their lives.

The film is packed with humour, action, sensuousness, and a solid dose of drama. The best thing about the movie is its crispness. The cinema hall was roaring with laughter; the ‘so-called' action movie has all the ingredients of a comic delight. The role of Adeel Hashmi as a drug-dealer is short, but fulfills the requirement of the movie. It is a complete family entertainment that relaxes the audience to the core. Mohib Mirza and Sanam Saeed did a wonderful job with ease and the chemistry between the lead pair is an amazing thing to watch.

Music is not very extensive and comes only where it is required. Beautiful locations of Mauritius won the hearts of the audience as cinematography is excellent; hats off to the director, Nasir Khan for such a wonderful attempt.

On the whole, Bachaana is a very entertaining and hilarious movie with great comic timing and a tinge of romance. It does not feel dragged out as the run time is less than 2 hours. It’s a must watch and hopefully will fare well at the box office.

2015 was an unbelievable year for the Pakistani cinema. With the release of a number of productions such as JPNA, Bin Roye, Moor, Shah, Manto, KSL and more, the New Year seems to be kicking off to a thumping start for our industry. The best and most positive thing is that the Pakistani audiences are rallying around their home productions and supporting the industry.
