Pakistan’s favourite export to India, Ali Zafar, has kept acting on the back burner for a while now with only a cameo appearance in Tere Bin Laden’s sequel, in the song 'Six Pack Abs'. But it turns out that isn't all he is doing this year; the actor is back with a lead role in Gauri Shinde’s next, titled Walk & Talk.
Zafar will be seen sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan but the film also stars Kunal Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Angad Bedi in prominent roles.
The film's story revolves around a filmmaker (Alia Bhatt) who is on a lookout for an intriguing subject for her short film. On her journey, she comes across four young men (Ali Zafar, Kunal Kapoor, Aditya Kapoor and Angad Bedi) and ends up dating all of them. Soon she starts seeing a psychiatrist (Shahrukh Khan) and realizes that she has learnt something new from every man she dated.
Apparently, Khan helps Bhatt come out of her shell and look at life through a broader perspective, inspiring her work and life. Zafar's role in the film is said to be very close to the person that he is in real life. He will be seen playing the character of a musician, who is as passionate about music as he is about love.
Just like in English Vinglish, Shinde promises to break stereotypes related to love and romance with this film and bring something new to the table.
The film, which has mostly been shot in Mumbai and Goa, is currently in post-production phase and is tentatively scheduled to release in November, this year.
