Son of industry veterans, Rahat Kazmi and Sahira Kazmi, and internationally acclaimed actor, Ali Kazmi has been making a mark at the international arena. After sharing space with Randeep Hooda in Deepa Mehta’s critically acclaimed film, Beeba Boys, the actor went on to work with Hollywood bigwig, Angelina Jolie, on her animated production, The Breadwinner, which is slated to release sometime next year.
Following his success in Beeba Boys and the Punjabi film, Sardar Ji, Kazmi was reportedly roped in to play the character of a military officer, Major Khan, in Singham famed actor, Ajay Devgan’s directorial debut, Shivaay - an action packed romance thriller slated to release this Diwali (28th of October).

The film is nearing its release and posters (hence characters) have come out on social media, but Ali Kazmi was nowhere to be seen. We got hold of the actor to unfold the mystery.
“Since I am based in Canada, the film had to be shot here as well. Unfortunately, the makers were having trouble getting the permission for the shoot, and the project had already been delayed a bit, so they had to make some changes in the script due to which I couldn’t be a part of the film,” Kazmi shared with HIP..

He had indeed been looking forward to the film since it was a complete package.
“It was an interesting project and I was quite excited for it, but I guess you win some and you lose some; it’s all part of the game.”
For now, the actor is shooting for Taken - the television series being shot in Canada, whereas his Pakistani film, Dobara Phir Se, is expected to hit the cinemas in November.
