The Akram Foundation owned by Waseem Akram joins hands with the British Deputy High Commission for the charity event called English Afternoon Tea. The event was held at the British Embassy and was a charity in cooperation with Dilnaz Avari for the people in Chitral.

One objective behind the Akram Foundation was to establish the value for life. Thousands of people in our country are fighting to survive through hunger, sickness, illiteracy, abuse and rejection and the Akram Foundation has been a constant support throughout many people's lives.

Working locally for almost a decade, it now intends to expand its horizon and bring about changes that affect more than just a community. The Akram Foundation aims to mobilize resources and address nationwide issues and needs.

Many familiar faces such as Aaminah Sheikh, Mohib Mirza, and Frieha Altaf were also spotted at the event alongside Shaniera Akram with husband and cricketer Wsaeem Akram.
