London was buzzing with Pakistani stars on December 2nd where the who’s who from the industry travelled to the UK to be a part of the 8th Pakistan Achievement Award (PAA) held in the city. From Ahsan Khan to Zaheer Abbas, the award show witnessed the presence of actors, singers and sportsmen, who had all gathered to encourage different people from various fields.
This year the award show saw the likes of Sajjad Ali, Javed Sheikh, Aijaz Aslam, the movie star Sana ,Sufi singer Saeein Zahoor and the host-turned-actress Shaista Lodhi.
While Saeein Zahoor performed in front of a packed hall, Ahsan Khan stole the show by winning the most Popular Actor award for Udaari. Sana won the Best Actor (Female) and Aijaz Aslam went home with the Best Actor (Male) award for Khwab Saraye.
Like every other year the PAA is dedicated to important events, person or a cause. This year the event was dedicated to the world renowned humanitarian (late) Abdul Sattar Edhi for his services towards humanity. In the past the event has been dedicated to the women and education of Pakistan, as well as flood victims to name a few.
The show also had a video message by the British professional boxer Amir Khan, who spoke about how his foundation was the official charity partner with the PAA this year.
With Lodhi hosting the event and our stars all gathered in London to cheer and encourage one another, the night seemed like a lot of fun.
