Which movie ruled the box office this week?

Since the past few months, the Pakistani cinemas were doing bad business due to the lack of Bollywood content. The fall in business did not occur due to the quality of our films, but simply because the amount of movies being produced in Pakistan were not enough to sustain the business of cinema houses throughout the country.
However, things are back on track with the lift on the ban on Bollywood, and it seems like our movies are benefiting from it too!
According to Mohsin Yaseen, General Manager Cinepax, "The Indian film Jolly LLB is the most watched movie in cinemas, followed by Balu Mahi."
Balu Mahi was expected to enthrall the audience and though it has earned only half of what Jolly LLB has managed to make, it is still a strong contender and might continue to do better if positive word of mouth continues.
"On number three is the Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil, that is still a favorite of the cinema going audience, whereas on number four is the horror flick Rings," shared Mohsin.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is on number five, and even though it's relatively old as compared to the other movies being screened, it has managed to do well because of its interesting story line and the presence of Fawad Khan.
Even though a Pakistani film is not occupying the majority of the cinema screens yet, we are glad over the fact that cinema houses are back in business and remain a place for entertainment for the people of Pakistan.
