Hania Aamir is a name that we weren’t familiar with by last year. However, in no time at all she has become a raging sensation. She burst into limelight after her debut film Janaan, and from there on, she’s simply been unstoppable. Not only films, she has also taken over the advertisement world by a storm as she takes on the brand ambassador’s hat for a number of esteemed lines.

Being only one film old, Hania has already become a phenomenon. She’s a heartthrob for men, a style diva for women and her laid-back, yet professional attitude is what’s won her acceptability in the otherwise cut-throat industry. HIP caught up with the acting prodigy and she impressed us with her flamboyant self and equally impressive answers.

“If I ever got the chance to work in Bollywood I would love to do a film that’s along the lines of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali love saga. He makes such beautiful stories. I absolutely adore his work,” she responded when we questioned her of whether Bollywood is an avenue she’d want to explore. “And I would love to get cast opposite Ranveer Singh. He has such amazing energy. I feel we share similar energetic vibes.”

Not only does she aspire to work with the dynamic Bajirao Mastani duo, but says also has a girl-crush in Bollywood. “Deepika Padukone is my major crush. I like Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt too. I try to catch up to her [Alia’s] acting; I feel like I understand what she’s doing,” Aamir on how she finds resemblance with the Kapoor & Sons starlet and would want to star in her biopic when made.

Post the success of Janaan, Hania’s fleeting rise to stardom has helped her bag leading roles in two of Pakistan’s most anticipated and promising films. She has reportedly replaced Mahira Khan in MD Productions and Pakistani Air Force’s joint-venture, Parwaaz Hay Junoon. Helmed by Haseeb Hasan of Diyar-e-Dil and Mann Mayal, Hania will be seen playing a cadet opposite Hamza Ali Abbasi and Ahad Raza Mir.

“I had a great time working with Hamza Ali Abbasi,” she says of her experience shooting with the dreamboat. “He is very positive, extremely chilled-out and very funny, so I like that about him. It’s funny how we bonded over lame jokes. I’m not very fond of snobbish and irritating co-stars,” she chuckles.

Not only Parwaaz Hay Junoon, but Hania has also taken the lead in Nabeel Qureshi’s sequel of Na Maloom Afraad against Fahad Mustafa, Mohsin Abbas Haider and Javed Sheikh. “I never knew I would get so much fame, I am humbled and thankful to everyone who have showered me with such love and supported me throughout”. She added that starring in drama serials has helped her polish her naturally powerful acting prowess.

Coming back to her co-stars, Hania says she doesn’t get intimidated by working alongside established and seasoned actors. In fact, she says she thoroughly enjoyed sharing space with, “Faris Shafi, Shafaat Ali, Ahad Raza Mir and Gohar Rasheed to name a few.”

On a parting note, we asked the budding actress of the untitled film that was announced by IRK Productions post the release of Janaan starring herself alongside Usman Mukhtar. “It was planned; in fact it still is in the pipeline. The team’s busy with their new film Parchi for now”
