One of the most popular as well as one of the youngest activists for girls’ right to education is Malala Yousafzai, who came into the spotlight when she was shot by a Taliban gunman for writing about the ban on girl’s education in Swat.

She is also the youngest ever Nobel prize laureate and is regarded quite highly by even the world’s leaders, in fact with Malala joining Twitter, important personalities even took to the social media platform to welcome her on board as a Twitteratti and congratulate her on finishing school.

With just posting two words: “Hi, Twitter.” People began to respond quite warmly towards her so much so that within a short span of her joining, the response which she has received has been amazing with her followers now reaching up to 409 K.

With Malala posting a series of messages that immediately got to the point where she called out on support for educating more girls worldwide as well as announcing how she will be back from her Girl Power trip to meet girls in Middle East, Africa & Latin America, she also announced how it was her last day of school and her first day on Twitter!

With her admirers welcoming her on board even the Canadian president Justin Trudeau as well as Bill Gates and UN secretary general Antonio Guterres welcomed the young girl on the social media page by posting on her official twitter account.

A global icon for girl’s education, Yousafzai on Friday graduated from high school in Birmingham where she moved after being attacked by the Taliban in Pakistan in 2012.
