BBDO Pakistan wins at CLIO for the UN Women Pakistan #BeatMe campaign video

Every now and then, there comes something different, some unique and so strong that it leaves a mark on our mind. The recent UN Women Pakistan #BeatMe campaign and the video that came out discussing the issue is one such example of content that moves you to your core. And of course the efforts behind such a strong video should never go unnoticed.

And they certainly haven't.

Jamshed Mehmood, more popularly known as Jami, broke the news about the campaign video winning the Gold award in the public service category at CLIO, one of the most renowned and prestigious awards held every year to honor and appreciate the creative work of advertising agencies.

The influential video focused on bringing a very serious message across to the public. It emphasized on tales of women who have achieved success and reached their set goals despite the staunch patriarchal mindset of the society and overcoming all odds. The strong females featured in the video called out to men to beat them and beat them hard but only on equal basis, on things they were good at!

Produced by Azad Films for UN Women Pakistan, the video was submitted to CLIO by BBDO Pakistan and featured Afreen fame Momina Mustehsan, Samina Baig the only Pakistani woman to climb Mount Everest, singer Meesha Shafi, journalist Sana Bucha, athlete Naseem Hameed and many other influential women who have outshone the rest in their field.
