After doing successful rounds of film circuits around the world, Syra Shahroz's debut film Chalay Thay Saath is all to be screened at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Film Festival in China.
The SCO film festival will be held in Qingdao, east China’s Shandong Province from June 13 to June 17, 2018. Pakistan's Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage selected Chalay Thay Saath to represent the country at the Infocus programme as well as the FilmMart expo. Pakistan happens to be one of the 12 countries that have been invited to participate in the SCO festival in China.
Talking to a leading daily, Syra Shahroz expressed her pride and excitement for being able to create a mark on international cinema. "From full house screening in Hong Kong to getting selected in several film festivals, Chalay Thay Saath has done tremendously well post it’s Pakistan release. One of those festivals was the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Film Festival. Now, it’s making its way to the SCO film festival in China and I’m super thrilled to be representing Pakistan on an international platform," added the actress.
Chalay Thay Saath recently became the first Pakistani movie to be screened in Hong Kong. Not only that, the film also received a warm welcome internationally, playing to a full house in Hong Kong. CTS is also available on Netflix as well, for all those who want to watch the film for its engaging storyline and breathtaking visuals from Northern Pakistan.
