With a vivacious personality which can light the screen up, we have seen Hira Mani evolve as an actress in front of our eyes. From appearing in comedies to trying her hand at intense roles we feel she is a versatile actress who can mould herself in to any character which the script demands .
For those who have loved her in 'Sun Yara', 'Yaqeen Ka Safar' and not to forget her popular drama "Thays", we have some fantastic news to share with you all as the pretty actress is currently busy shooting for one of the most anticipated play 'Aangan' which already has a starstudded cast with Ahsan Khan, Sajal Aly, Mawra Hocane and Ahad Raza Mir.
In a candid chat, we got a chance to speak with Hira recently and the first thing which we asked was about her new character and this is what she shared with us:
"My character is Tehmina and she is Aaliya's (Mawra Hocane) sister and I don't think I should reveal more than this as I can't wait for you all to watch Aangan and share Tehmina's story with you."
With us already intrigued as the still from the play shows a very different side of Hira from what we have seen so far, our next question was what exactly made her want to be a part of this multi star cast drama?
"Well firstly it was the fact that Ehtesham is directing it and that it promises to be a journey of endless learning. Also it was the excellent script as every character is vital to the plot and the layers to each of them is unbelievable. The stellar cast of course makes you want to play your part with more enthusiasm," said the actress.
Rightly said so; we then asked how was playing Tehmina different from what she has done so far, and Hira said, "It’s entirely different as it belongs in a different time. It’s a period play and that makes it unique and it is one of its kind character."
With Hira finding the shoot of the play very exciting as well as draining, she emphasises on the fact that since her character requires a lot of effort and focus she hopes that she is able to do justice to the complexity that Tehmina is.
But with shooting on at full speed we asked Hira if there was any fun incident which took place that she might want to share with HIP, she replied,
'So far it’s a lot of work and no fun per say. Everyone on set takes the responsibility very seriously as Aangan is a very hyped project and we all want to bring the best to you."
We are definitely excited to watch 'Aangan' soon since we love period plays, however, we asked Hira too about her expectation regarding acceptance of drama in the masses?
"I hope that the hard work we are putting in is worthwhile and gets across to the audience. I don't want to sound pompous but I can say at least this is not something the audiences have seen before as it’s unique and I am confident that people will love it just as much as we do while working hard on it," she replied confidently.
Now the big question that remains is whether Hira is paired opposite Ahsan Khan or not but since we love surprises this is one thing for which we will have to wait and see for ourselves.
