Pakistani opener Fakhar Zaman recently made rounds in news for his double century in ODI against Zimbabve. Later on Fakhar also made a record 1000 runs in shortest time period so far.
All this and much more of his brilliant performance make him presumably the best Pakistani cricketer of today - and Pakistan Cricket Board agrees.
Recently in a ceremony, Fakhar has been awarded 'Outstanding Performance Award' and he has announced to dedicate it to the victims of APS Peshawar.
In a video, the opener posted on Twitter, Fakhar said that "I will visit Peshawar and hand over my award to the children," whom he considers the real heroes.
In a terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, in December 2014 - 244 children lost their lives and many others were severely injured. The survivors of the attack are still attending the same school and Fakhar's tribute to them is indeed something those children deserve.
We hope to see Fakhar in APS soon!
