Pop singer Atif Aslam recently faced backlash from his fans after he sang his song Tera Honey Laga Hoon at the Independence Day Parade, in New York. The song was a part of 2009 Bollywood movie Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and the singer faced severe criticism due to his choice of the song for the event.

The Adat fame singer has finally opened up about the issue and took to social media to give an answer to his haters.

In an Instagram post, he said “Only Allah can give respect and fame and he is thankful to his fans that stood by him against the fake propaganda.”

Atif also thanked Shafqat Amanat Ali who tweeted in his favor against the hatred Jal Pari singer was facing on social media. In a tweet, Shafqat said that 'music is not Indian or Pakistani, and he is proud of Atif for singing his songs.'
