Veteran Journalist Hamid Mir finally bids farewell to leading media organization Jang Group after service of 20 years and has reportedly joined upcoming media outlet Gourmet News Network (GNN) as its president.

The host of the most popular current affairs show aired on Geo News –Capital Talk-was spotted standing in the news room of GNN in Lahore, in a picture circulating on social media from quite some time.

The picture was shared by newscaster Salman Hassan on Twitter, confirming Hamid Mir’s appointment as President of GNN.

“Welcome aboard sir jee. Mir sb joined as president of GNN.’’ Salman tweeted.

While reports are making rounds on the media about the renowned journalist’s jump of ship, Mir has not yet confirmed the news.

GNN is owned by Gourmet Bakers, which is Pakistan’s largest retail chain of food products.

Apart from Hamid Mir, another seasoned journalist Muneeb Farooq has also joined the new media outlet while rumors are abuzz that Moeed Pirzada and Mubashar Lucman will also be joining the Gourmet-run channel soon.
