Sonia Mishal, Asad Siddiqui and Junaid Khan starrer Ro Raha Hai Dil is now on-air on TV One and while the story does not seem to be very different at this point, we have to admit that the actors are lifting the script a little too well.
Revolving around the life of Zoya (Sonia) who lost her mother after a long battle with sickness, the drama is a story of complexed and strained relationships.
Dawood Shah (Usman Peerzada) is Zoya's dad and a strong and wealthy man who has everything in this world but not his daughter's love. Zoya who believes that her mother died because of her father's negligence has always had a complicated relationship with Dawood Shah.
Usman Peerzada is doing a great job in his role and seems pretty convincing; or maybe you can say that the daughter father relationship is so intense and realistic because of the two actors playing their role.
Ahad (Junaid) is Zoya's first cousin and has a jolly nature. Ahad is studying to be doctor and is in love with Zoya since a long time. Ahad always tries and finds ways to stay with Zoya and tease her with his silly talks although she's is uninterested in his attempts.
It's after a long while we are seeing Junaid Khan doing this young immature boy type character and he has really well shed off his sober, mature. responsible man image in Ro Raha Hai Dil. In all honestly, it's fun to watch this unique side of his acting.
The other end of the story is of Humayun (Asad Siddiqui) who is a ruthless man and always wants money in life. He and his friends are nothing less than evil, and Humayun's wife Ayesha (Marium Ansari) knows it all. However, she still chooses to live with him despite the violence as she is too simple to find another life beyond the guy.
In this week's episode, Humayun lost his money in gambling and got drunk. He again abused his wife and blamed her for not being rich and beautiful.
While on the other hand, Zoya is dwelling over her mother's memories and how she lost her life because of indifferent behavior of Dawood Shah. Zoya blames Dawood Shah for her mother's demise and Dawood himself knows he's guilty - though he wants an end to the hatred his daughter has bestowed upon him.
In a retaliation of Dawood's attempts to communicate with Zoya, she denies to continue her education and doesn't want to see her father again.
Now at this point, fate brings Humayun across Zoya and he in his greed decides to lure her into his trap to get money out of her. Now let's see if will Zoya find Humayun's reality or will fall in love with him!
As we said the drama does not have anything different to offer at this point, but an excellent performance from the whole cast is what is keeping us hooked to the drama. To know more of Zoya's life and how it turn out to be with Ahad or Humayun, watch the drama every Monday at 8.00 p.m.
