The first time we heard Momina Mustehsan sing was for Coke Studio where she collaborated with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's old track Afreen Afreen. Written by Javed Akhtar, Afreen was a massive hit in its time and still has a loyal fan following. With the duo, Rahat and Momina, giving it a new feel and making everybody fall in love with it yet again, the Coke Studio rendition soon became a favorite for all. And now, we have just come across the news that the song has crossed 200 million views in Pakistan and that has left us quite excited for the two stars.
Taking to the social media to announce the news, it was super cute to see both Momina and Rahat sing the unplugged version again and thank their fans for the songs success as Momina wrote,
"Thank you everyone for your love and support! Afreen becomes the first song in Pakistan to cross 200 million views."

Now where Momina has made this claim that Afreen is the first song in Pakistan to cross 200 million views, the truth is that the record is actually held by Rahat himself for his solo single Zaroori Tha as the track has received 496 million views. Although the song was done in collaboration with Universal Music India, the track did cross 496m views, with a Pakistani artist in it.

But one record which Afreen Afreen did break was that it became the fastest local song to cross the 100 million views on YouTube which resulted in breaking the record of Atif Aslam's Tajdar -e-Haram .
So with us still madly in love with Afreen Afreen, we would like to congratulate Momina Mustehsan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on achieving such a milestone and we hope to see them back again with a new track very soon.
