It is wonderful to see the local films doing so well on the international platform and one such short film which continues to make us proud is the Kami Sid starrer Rani which up till now has won many accolades to its name. But if you thought that Rani has achieved all that it set out to, then we have some more fantastic news to share with you all as the film is all set to rock Texas next month!
Yes guys the news is absolutely correct and we couldn't be more thrilled for the entire team. The film is all set to be screened at the Lone Star Film Festival which will be held at the Sundance Square, Fort Worth from the 7th till 11th of November 2018.
Rani at the moment is competing as a finalist at the NBC Universal Short Film Festival and has already won the Fox Inclusion Award at Outfest LA.
Revolving around a transgender played by Kami who refuses to indulge in socially unacceptable activities to earn her livelihood and earns money by selling toys, Rani also reflects upon the motherly feelings in transgender people where Kami (Rani) adopts a child.
With us sure that Rani will again leave the audiences raving about it, HIP would like to wish everyone associated with the project all the very best for the screening in Texas.
