Legendary folk singer Arif Lohar honored with Lifetime Achievement Award in the UK

Legendary Pakistani folk singer Arif Lohar has been awarded prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in Birmingham by an International organization named “Bright Asia Award, UK”.

Of recent, a musical programme was organized in Birmingham where Arif Lohar enchanted fans with his solo performance. Among the attendants of this event were Pakistanis, Indians and locals as well.

The Jugni-famed singer landed in Pakistan last night. Expressing his gratitude over the overwhelming response to his performance in UK, the humble singer said that he had got more than his expectation in the UK and that the love of his fans is not less than an honor to him.

Arif Lohar to work on his father’s biopic

In 2005, Lohar was honored with Pride of performance award by the then President of Pakistan.

Apart from giving us various heartrending songs, the renowned singer has also lent his vocals to Bollywood film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag in 2013.

Indian film maker Saif Ali Khan also bought the rights of Lohar’s famous Jugni and used it as a feature song in his film Cocktail.
