YouTuber Irfan Junejo who is quite known for his travelogues, has now had enough. After a continuous misuse of his content by various media outlets, Irfan is now out and about to name and shame them.
So it all started with Bol who used his Ranikot travelogue with convenience and of course without due credit.
Soon after, ARY joined the bandwagon and picked up Irfan's coverage of Gwadar Rally - the credits of source i.e. Irfan were again missing. Sad!
Earlier Irfan had already taken to Twitter to call ARY News for using his work without credit, when the same happened again Irfan brought proof!
Samaa TV also picked up the same video and ran it on air without due credits yet again. But as Irfan homself says "It's the favorite."
That's not it, department of Pakistani government like CPEC media wing also took the liberty to use Irfan's aerial shot of Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway, without mentioning his hard work.
Now one would think that television channels often undermine the importance of copyright laws, so Irfan should complain to the government about it. But oh the irony! Irfan had to go to YouTubr with a copyright violation complain against The Government of Pakistan's official account!
After a series of violation, Irfan is now calling out all these organizations who should in fact be the protector of copyrights. We offer full support to the YouTuber in his quest and to promote culture of giving due credit, this is where you can read the full article regarding copyrights and plagiarism problems in Pakistan.
