Throughout our lives we have always been told how important spellings are, however for MD PTV Col (Retired) Hassan Immad Mohammadi the lesson came through quite a hard way!

Government to Launch 2 New Channels Under PTV Network

In a recent bizarre turn of events, Pakistan Television Network while televising Prime Minister Imran Khan's live speech from Beijing made the biggest blunder of PTV history. A ticker, which was supposed to state Beijing i.e. location of PM's address, misspelled and displayed BEGGING! The wrong ticker stayed there for almost 20 seconds after which it was rectified.

This spelling error landed the newly appointed MD PTV - who joined the channel on October 22 - in some great trouble and he was immediately sacked from his job.

According to a notification from Pakistan Government's Broadcast department, on the order of Broadcast and Information Ministry the MD, Col Retired Hassan Immad Muhammadi is let go of his job with immediate effect.

Well, hopefully PTV and its future administration can avoid such mistakes because "that escalated quickly".
