There comes a time when one does not want to watch senseless plays nor some over the top comedy but rather a drama which has a strong story line along with actors whose prime concern is not their looks but their performances. And one drama which offers all this is the Iqra Aziz and Imran Ashraf starrer called Ranjha Ranjha Kardi. This one's is a beautiful story of a young girl called Noori who is feisty but quite innocent when it comes to the matters of the heart.
Written by Faiza Ifthikhar, this week the episode was fast paced and showed us another side of Sahir played wonderfully by Syed Jibran as he now seems like a man who doesn't take any step in life without making sure his benefit is attached to it.
Now why do we say that? Well read along to find out.
The episode begins with a miffed Noori who is livid with her parents for making her want to marry a family member just because he was willing to pay a hefty amount for her. With her not your typical poor girl we are so glad to see Noori have a mind of her own and decide what is right for her and what is not.
But when it comes to Sahir it seems that all of her senses stop working and whatever he says she blindly follows it. With his mother having passed away, he tells Noori that they can marry but along the way also questions her on how much does she earn as he has been trying to go abroad and needs money to do that.
Now where initially we thought he's a nice guy, this week he has given us a negative vibe and we have a feeling that he will leave Noori high and dry as the silly girl begins to save her every penny so she can give it to him and then join him abroad once he's settled.
With Noorie day dreaming of a better life, Sahir gets arrested as the owner of the shop where he works suspects him of stealing so what will become of him and will Noori get him out is what we cant wait to see on Saturday at 8 pm only on Hum TV.
Now where we like the story of Noorieand Sahir right there one cannot ignore Bhola played by the immensely talented Imran Ashraf as he declares that he is in love with a girl which happens to be Noori but since he cant remember her name, no one knows who it is.
With stellar performances by the three leading stars as well as Asma Abbas who plays Bhola's mother, director Kashif Nisar has another winner in his hands as his dramas are a piece of art which need to be viewed and cherished for the beautiful way their stories unfold and stand out.
