Pakistan bowler toil on opening day of tour game

Harris Sohail just added 4, while Asad Shafiq got out for a duck. However, Azhar Ali and Babar Azam came together at 112-5 and knitted a 155 run partnership. Azhar retired after getting to his ton. Sarfraz Ahmed, didn’t contribute significantly either and with his dismissal, Pakistan declared their innings. Babar remained not out at 104.

Starting with a 12 run lead, CSA XI ended the day on 45 for 1. Mohammad Amir had Richards bowled for 8. While, Pakistan would take heart from the performance of their two middle order batsmen, the shakiness of their batting would definitely concern them. South African are a couple of bowlers down but still remain a potent attack. Challenging times ahead for Pakistan.
