Lately, our local drama industry has been focusing on producing dramas that focus on social issues, aiming to create awareness and educate the masses. Meri Gurya, Baydardi, Khaani, Iltija, Dar Si Jat Hai Sila and the recent Beti proved to be eye openers in the face of society. Another one to join the bandwagon is the Ramsha Khan and Muneeb Butt starrer Kaisa Hai Naseeban, soon to go on air on ARY Digital.

Directed by Ahmed Bhatti, the drama focuses on how girls married abroad are at times are led to a fraud. It is a common trend in our society that parents are glamorized by guys settled abroad and marry their daughters off to them without any thorough background check and later the girl ends up facing brutal consequences of their parents’ hasty decisions.

The makers of the play have revealed a few teasers of the play so far and from the looks of them the story seems very intriguing and a must-watch.

The first teaser begins with Ramsha dressed as Mehendi bride as she utters a very deep dialogue ‘Mujh say ziada khush naseeb larki or kon hugi jisay us k naseeb say ziada mil gaya’. She continues how she was tricked into marrying abroad. How the glamorous life of foreign country hypnotized her parents who got her hitched to a Malaysia- apparently wealthy man played by Muneeb Butt. While she says all this, we see her in Malaysia being treated no less than a maid, doing petty jobs and on top of that being brutally abused by her husband.

The second teaser shows the glamorous nuptials of Ramsha & Muneeb held in Pakistan where everyone is happy and no one can’t even think of how things will turn out to be later for Ramsha. In one scene, Ramsha’s mother-in-law, played by Uzma Gilani, promises to treat her as a daughter and not a daughter-in-law which she will surely back off from once they are in Malaysia.

Earlier titled as Mangharat, Kaisa Hai Naseeban is an iDream Entertainment production and is penned by Samina Ijaz. We are definitely looking forward to this one.
