The much awaited drama, Cheekh is all set to go on air from January 2019 on ARY Digital. And while the hype around Saba Qamar returning to television after Baaghi is high, we have the very talented and versatile Bilal Abbas playing the negative lead in the drama for the very first time.

There had been a lot of speculations about Bilal and Saba playing a couple in "Cheekh" but it seems the duo will be sharing very intense and different dynamics in the drama.

Looking at the teaser we can say that Bilal has really shunned his good boy image and put all his energies into playing the villain in Cheekh.

"It’s important to stand up against harassment and raise our voice against it. My character is extremely powerful, different and something I really did not expect to play this early in my career - that too with the names like Saba Qamar & Badar Mehmood associated with it," shared Bilal about his character in the drama.

Bilal Abbas Khan - a star in the making

Adding to his reason about choosing to sign Cheekh, Bilal said, "My primary reason for signing this project was to raise awareness in our society that such incidents regularly occur around us and we cannot and should not let them be pushed under the rug - speaking up against all evil is our basic right."

Bilal Abbas Khan made his television debut from the serial ‘Dumpukht’ - and has since then gotten positive reviews for all his diverse roles in hit TV plays like ‘Qurbaan’ opposite Iqra Aziz, ‘O Rangreza’ alongside Sajal Aly and ‘Balaa’ with Ushna Shah.

Cheekh is a Big Bang Entertainment production, directed by Badar Mehmood. It is scheduled to go on air on ARY Digital on every Saturday at 8p.m. from 5th January.
