Pakistan clinch Asian Junior Squash Team Championship

Top seeds Pakistan floored India 2-0 to clinch the Asian Junior Squash Team Championship. This is India’s 2nd defeat at the hands of Pakistan in the tournament being held in Pattaya Thailand.

Asian Junior Squash Team Championship: Pakistan down India and South Korea

In the 1st game of the final Farhan Hashmi defeated Veer Chotrani 3-2. Chotrani took the lead winning the 1st set 11-2. But Farhan reversed came roaring back into the game winning the next two sets. However, Chotrani once again came back to make the score 2-2. But Farhan took the final set 11-9 to win this encounter.

The 2nd match was a relatively easy win for Abbas Zeb. His opponent, Utrkash was unable to put up much of a fight as Zeb won the match in straight sets. The final score was 11-4, 11-2, 11-6.

Earlier, Pakistan had defeated Hong Kong in the Semi Finals.

Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, who is President of Pakistan Squash Federation congratulated the team.
