AB de Villiers to lead Qalandars against Peshawar Zalmi

Extent of Hafeez’ injury yet to be revealed

Lahore Qalandars took another body blow as their captain Mohammad Hafeez has been ruled for at least today's game against Peshawar Zalmi. The all rounder injured his right thumb while bowling trying to catch a straight of Colin Ingram, in their match against Karachi Kings, yesterday.

AB de Villiers, captained the side in Hafeez is absence. The team management have decided to give the reign to AB de Villiers, till Hafeez returns to full fitness. Doctors are still accessing his injury, but haven't set date for his return as of yet.

This comes a day after West Indian all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite had to leave the squad as he was called for national duty. Qalandars have the option of naming a replacement as the series against England continues till 11th of March.

Qalandars, so far have won one and lost one game in season 4 of Pakistan Super League.
