South Punjab of Pakistan has a deep culture and heritage. There are old buildings, tombs, and mosques in the region including the beautiful cities like Multan and Bahawalpur. PSL Officials came up with the 6th team in the PSL last year, the team was named as Multan Sultans, though the team didn’t give an extraordinary performance in the last edition but, they got a lot of support from not only South Punjab, but the whole country.
The team came up with more strength and spirit this time as the owner of the team, Ali Khan Tareen took great interest in the marketing campaign of the team. Ali Khan Tareen is the son of PTI Leader Jahangir Tareen and he is the youngest owner among all 6 franchise owners. The hashtag #JunoobKiPehchaan is trending and the team is a hot favorite for becoming the PSL Champions this time.
Sung by the melodious Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, the Official Anthem by Multan Sultans portrays the real image of Pakistan. The video of the song shows how peaceful and peace-loving nation we are, how our farmers get up early in the morning, drink tea and then work hard in the fields to earn the living for them and their families, how much passion does the people have for Kabadi, how does the people enjoy and dance on the Dhol to celebrate festivals, how the young kids play cricket where ever they want to and so on...
The anthem also has a feminist touch as the video shows young girls playing cricket in the ground and working in the fields the same as men do. Moreover, it represents the talent of calligraphy of the people of South Punjab. In the end, Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi appears in the video and every around start dancing like anything.
