World Wrestling Body Suspends Ties with India!

We all are well aware of what is going on between Pakistan and India these days. Pakistan is trying its best to settle things down so that the citizens of both countries can live in peace. We believe that Sports and Art should always be kept away from politics but, unfortunately, India is constantly trying to harm Pakistan in one way or another. Recently, Wrestling Federation India (WFI) rejected the visa of Pakistani Shooters in the recent World Cup in India and as a result, United World Wrestling (UWW) has asked all the national federations to stop communication with the WFI.
UWW wrote a letter to all the national federations stating that “UWW recommends to all the affiliated and associated national wrestling federations to suspend their discussions or relations with the Indian wrestling federation."
Moreover, UWW said, "Based on the information provided by the IOC, (sic) India would refuse to some countries the delivery of the visa for the athletes who have to visit India for a competition. The behavior is against the main principle of the Olympic Charter, in particular against the principle of non-discrimination and the position of the IOC and UWW. The equality of treatment has to be guaranteed for all the athletes and delegations (sic) participating in international events without any kind of discrimination or political interference from the host country.”
India's has itself lost the chance of hosting the Olympics after denying the visa of Pakistani shooters as IOC is suspending all such discussions with India and it has been decided by the international body that no big tournament will be awarded to India.
UWW is constantly trying to contact WFI President Brij Bhusan Sharan and Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar to discuss the issue but none of them could be reached for the comments. Indeed, a big setback for India.
