On 8th March, International Women’s Day is celebrated all over the world every year. This day commemorates the women’s rights movement. Over the years, there has been many movements and campaigns to encourage women to believe in themselves. It has been proven time and again that if they get the proper platform and confidence in their abilities, women can achieve anything they want. Many celebrities have used their influence and voice to highlight this point. They have taken it upon themselves to spread the message of self-belief and self-esteem.

I really wanted to work with Mahira in a movie," says Maya Ali

Continuing the same ritual, the talented actress, Maya Ali, has a special message for all the women on this women’s day. In a video message that she posted on her Instagram, she said, “Few months ago I got a message from a girl who said that she wants to look like me and follow in my footsteps. That made me realize that instead of believing in ourselves, we tend to follow others. Sometimes we don’t have trust in our abilities, so we try to copy others.” Furthermore, she said, “I would like to tell all the girls out there that they all are beautiful and pretty, they just need to believe in their selves. Whoever you are, whatever you are, own yourself, stay true to yourself.” The Teefa in Trouble star further said, “A lot of times when we think about a diva, a superstar comes to our minds. However, that’s not the case. We all have an inner diva. We just need to embrace her and flaunt her.”

Maya Ali’s message to cherish your inner diva is very important. As women, we are expected to be a lesser version of ourselves to accommodate others. However, it’s about time that we accept and flaunt our true-selves wholeheartedly and unapologetically.
