Kalank is an upcoming Bollywood movie but it seems that the movie will earn a lot as it is already being discussed by the masses. The main thing of the movie is its cast which includes Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonakshi Sinha.

There are two big reasons that the film has made headlines even in Pakistan. The first reason is that earlier this week Alia Bhatt said that she got inspiration for her character in Kalank from Sanam Saeed. Ali said, “I watched a lot of old films like ‘Mughal-E-Azam’ and ‘Umrao Jaan’ to get an understanding of grace and body language. (And) I had to clean to my Hindi as I am speaking Urdu in the film. Abhishek asked me to watch ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai.’ The character of Kashaf, played by Sanam Saeed in the show is very much how Roop will deal with the situation.”

The second one being that Kalank producer Karan Johar’s late father Yash Johar visited Pakistan to get the idea as for how to design the set of the movie, Kalank.

Indian media stated, “The late producer had gone to Pakistan to see the localities and then intricately recreate them for the film. He had conducted deep, hands-on research on the subject of the film which goes beyond borders. The film stayed in the backburner, gathering dust for a long time till Karan decided to revive it in 2018.”

Kalank has a lot of resemblance with Pakistani drama, Aangan. Here is the trailer of the film:
