HIP Reviews Anaa Episode 10: Usman Mukhtar Gives Life to the Character of Altamash

Whether it is Usman Mukhtar’s portrayal of the character or the general attraction everyone has towards him in Anaa...

Anaa started off as a story about big egos and little hearts, with Daneen and Areesh's love story at the core of it. Their love story and refreshing characters might’ve hooked us to Anaa in the first place, but as of now, Izzah and Altamash are the only ones who have our undivided attention.

Case in point: the very clichéd, but a cute love story that has sparked a new light in the drama. One thing that strikes you the most about Anaa is how good looking the whole cast is. Honestly, is there anyone average looking in the drama? I don’t think so. Usman Mukhtar though is in a league of his own.

Whether it is Usman Mukhtar’s portrayal of the character or the general attraction everyone has towards the hot & rude-boy-who-is-softie-at-heart, Altamash was the misunderstood heartless boy who has shown his real softie side after Izzah’s arrival in his life. Their cute & lame comebacks were gonna blossom into love, we knew, but the way Naimal Khawar and Usman Mukhtar have delivered their characters deserves a lot of appreciation, given they are surrounded by an ensemble cast and are the fresh new faces.

As the two of them are lost in a world of their own, it looks like everyone else has other plans for them. While Izzah’s mother is more than happy about the prospect of their wedding, her father has told her off asking her to cut all contact with him. Izzah, like the good daughter she is (we have only seen her talking back to Altamash till now) obeys.

As for Daneen, she looks to be trying her best to settle with Saif, but Saif isn’t exactly making it easy for her. The so-called honeymoon has been one hell of a (bad) trip for her, and she has been thinking about Areesh every second of the way, but still doesn’t look to be giving up. We saw Hania Amir cry A LOT in this episode, and all I have to say is that it isn’t a good look on her. After ruining Daneen and Areeshs’ love story, the family is hell-bent on ruining Izzah and Altamashs’ too. Anaa has picked up its pace once again and we are excited to see what has in store for our favourite characters.
