Pakistani Novelist and a serving police officer of the police service of Pakistan, Omar Shahid Hamid has revealed some details about his upcoming book ‘The Fix’. He shared the news on his Twitter account.
The synopsis on the jacket of the book explains that the book revolves around a female protagonist.
"Ever since she was fifteen years old, the talented Saman Khan has only had one dream — to win a world cup for her country. Now, thanks to her own efforts as the captain, her team of talented misfits in the Pakistan Women's cricket team stand on the verge of realizing that dream. "But fate intervenes, and the team's success attracts the great corruptors of the sport, the match-fixing syndicates that captured the men's team two decades ago. Will Saman and her girls succeed where the men failed, or will history repeat itself?"
The book will be coming out soon. Omar Shahid Hamid is also known worldwide for his other literary works such as ‘The Party Worker’, ‘The Prisoner: a Novel’ and ‘The spinner’s Tale’. He has received international praise on these novels. His novel ‘The Party Worker’ is also being adapted in Pakistan’s first Netflix Original Web series in collaboration with the Streaming giant.
