Born and bred in Karachi, Sara Haider is an emerging Pakistani singer. She started her music career as a backing vocalist and later became a singer at Coke Studio. She got a lot of fame for the famous song “Ae Dil Kisi Ki Yaad Mein” which she performed with the rockstar Ali Zafar in Coke Studio.
She has also won a Lux Style Award and had been awarded a Charles Jehlinger award, which is granted to only a few in the past many years on the basis of their skills and qualities being the closest to the person who the award was named after. This is one of the most prestigious awards which Sara had won from her American Institute in Dramatic Arts.
Sara thinks that this is the time to pay back. She is asking for donations so that she can help other passionate youngsters to achieve their goals. She managed to get 900$ on the very first day of this campaign. She took this achievement to Instagram and said, “I asked friends, fans and family to help me go to Juilliard and after just ONE DAY we’ve raised almost 900$ and the campaign is trending on GoFundMe.com!”
Sara says that she has been funding her education at the "American Academy of Dramatic Arts" for last two years but the Juilliard School has covered absolutely everything with a full scholarship for her masters. Sara thinks that Karachi has taught her a lot!
She says “My parents taught me that once you set your eyes on a target, you must try and try again until you get there and Bollywood films taught me that “Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho to poori kainaat use tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai!”
Now, Sara is asking her friends, family and loved ones to contribute in order to make the dreams come true.
