Aisam ul Haq, the famed Pakistan tennis star has reached the semi-final of French Open mixed-doubles event. He is partnering with Ukraine’s Nadiia Kichenok.

In the quarter-final, the duo took down Taiwan’s Hao-Ching Chan and Austrian Oliver Marach 6-3, 6-4. It was a straight forward victory. Next up, the Pakistani-Ukrainian duo will challenge American Nicole Melichar and Brazilian Bruno Soares in the semi-finals.

Aisam ul Haq for the past decade or so has been Pakistan’s sole Tennis star. He has qualified for two Grand Slam finals both at the US Open in 2010. Here is hoping he can do one better and bring the title home this time around.
