Sri Lanka downed Pakistan by 5 wickets to earn a consolation win in the 5 match series. Pakistan had already won the series by taking an unassailable lead of 3-1. The final game of the series proved to be a high scoring one, as Sri Lanka chased down 264 comfortably.

Batting 1st Pakistan posted their highest score of the series, 264. Captain Rohail Nazir was again in the runs with 41. Opener Basit Ali, Haris Khan, and Qasim Akram, all scored the fifties to take Pakistan to a challenging total. Dilshan Madushanka was the pick of the bowlers, bagging three wickets.

In response, Kamil Mishara and Ravindu Rasantha knitted a terrific 3rd wicket partnership. Both batsmen crossed the 80s before getting dismissed. Mohammad Wasim brought a slight wobble with two his wickets, but Avishka Tharindu scored a run a ball 40 to take his side home. Mohammad Wasim and Shiraz Khan picked up a brace each for Pakistan.

The series ended 3-2 in favor of Pakistan, with Rohail Nazir shinning bright with consistent scores across the five-match series.
