Ahad Raza Mir Nominated in Canada for his Theatrical Play Hamlet!

To be the son of a well-known actor like Asif Raza Mir is not an easy task but Ahad Raza Mir has proved that he is in a league of his own. Having started his career with drama Sammi the young actor has indeed come a long way since then by having appeared in the hit drama Yaqeen Ka Safar by playing the iconic character of Doctor Asfandyar and then moving on to the big screen with Parwaaz Hai Junoon. With him currently winning hearts with Aangan, Ahad recently appeared on the stage version of Hamlet in Canada for which he has now also received a nomination!
Yes guys, with Ahad currently on cloud nine with his engagement to Sajal Aly and now this, we at the HIP are thrilled for the talented star who while speaking to a leading daily, The News, said,
'It feels amazing; the biggest thing is that it’s like pride for the country'.

Having been nominated in the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Drama’ category at the upcoming Betty Mitchell Awards 2019 which recognizes excellence in Calgary’s Professional Theatre Community with the award, Ahad further added,
'It is a regional award; hundreds of shows took place in the entire province there. For me, it is a big deal because I started my career there and I have been watching these people get these awards for many years, hoping that it would happen to me too, one day. Therefore, bagging a nomination is a big success, not just for people residing in Pakistan but for Pakistanis abroad.'
It was in fact with the Shakespeare Company that Ahad began to explore his love for theatre in Canada while he was living there and with the positive response he received it seems that the good looking actor will be returning to the role next year in September in Toronto with a possible run in Dubai too as he disclosed,'
“It’s not going to be the same show; it will be up-scale. The show we did was the studio version, which is for a very intimate audience, but now it is going to be a huge production given the huge number of Pakistanis there.”
Well, we would like to wish Ahad Raza Mir all the very best for the nomination received for Hamlet and we hope he wins the award as he is indeed an actor who deserves every accolade which comes his way.
