Dramas based on contradicting characters where a poor stand against the rich seems to be the most mediocre plot, but despite having this as their storyline, the steel-nerved character of Hajra, the rape, and the murder attempt survivor, has given drama Inkaar the alluring element that makes viewers wait for it.
The drama is getting anticipating with every episode where we witnessed the most supporting father that existed on the face of Earth who despite the world and even his family against his daughter stood by him to fight against the monsters who are powerful and have an enormous amount of money. In previous episodes, the fate favoured the truth, where a criminal of their area became a hero for Hajra and took a stand for her consequently the police filing a report against Rehan.
The last episode comprised of an unexpected twist where Rehan’s mother convinced him to take aback his official statement in court and she will make sure Hajra marries him. The episode ended on a very intense note where Rehan was asked if he is still seconding the statement that police has presented the court where he confessed of the murder attempt on Hajra.
The last night’s episode was thrilling to core highlighting the mentality of our society. The episode shed light upon how difficult it is for women in our society to talk for justice, how her character is always brought in between, humiliating her along with her family when she tries to speak the truth. The real war between Hajra and Rehan or lies and truth started in this episode where the patience of Hajra and her father is to be tested. Episode 16 ended with question answers by the lawyers with Hajra, despite her being a strong headed woman, the query with her in the courtroom was something to tear the confidence of a woman in a million pieces.
The episode remained very close to reality where Hajra’s father despite knowing everything, but being a father was unable to bear the allegations on Hajra and left the room. The dialogues were perfectly inscribed with brilliant depth by Zafar Miraj, whereas the skilled direction of Kashif Nisar is also to be seen.
Talking about the acting performances, Yumna Zaidi is phenomenal, the pain of Hajra is visible in her eyes. Her character has developed magnificently throughout, from a silent girl to vibrant lover and back on the silent mode, Yumna has completely nailed the character.
Rehan Sheikh is commendable as a supportive father and so is Sami Khan as a failed lover. Imran Ashraf, on the other hand, is praiseworthy for his role as Rehan. The change in Rehan’s character in last night’s episode is depicted effortlessly by him.
