Maas foundation is all set to stage its musical play ‘Book of Love’ at 8th Colombo international film festival, Sri Lanka on 4th August.

This play was played prior, in the 2nd Tamasha festival in April. Maas production was the first Pakistani theatre company that got selected at the first edition of the Colombo theatre festival 2012 and since then, have organized seven successful editions. The Pakistani theatre company is again invited to perform this year.

The Pakistani theatre group is invited by Sri Lanka’s high commissioner who is also the chief guest at the festival. Theatre companies all around the globe are going to perform at the festival, including from USA, India, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Iran and Pakistan itself.

The play ‘Book of Love’ is a non-verbal tale of love between a girl and a boy and how their journey goes from love, family and parenting. The whole tale showcases from a child’s perspective. The play revolves around the child, how he finds a book and read each chapter and related to it more and more.

The play is directed and designed by Aamir Nawaz while the concept is by Hassan Raza. The cast includes Gulshan Majeed, Eshah Shakeel and Hassan Raza.
