One of our favourite things to do these days is to sit down with a nice cup of tea and watch a good drama to wrap up a hectic day. With this year having shown some amazing projects there is also one play which we have been looking forward to watching since last year and that is Alif as it stars the dashing Hamza Ali Abbasi and the gorgeous Sajal Aly!

Directed by Haseeb Hassan whose Diyar-e-Dil remains our all-time favourite , it was a while back that we bought you guys the news of how the shooting of the drama had wrapped up but yesterday on social media we saw that he was still shooting for the drama and that made us curious to know what was going on.

So having gotten in touch with Haseeb, our confusion was cleared within minutes as he said,

'It was packed a long back but only one sequence was left and now all done. The camera is closed'.

A highly anticipated serial as it has been penned down by Umera Ahmed who has written a serial after six years, Haseeb also told us that Alif was expected to air very soon.

Shot partially in Turkey as well, Sajal is playing a character she has never done before in her entire television and film career and will have a very powerful journey in the drama whereas Hamza will essay a filmmaker belonging to a family of calligraphers based in Turkey. Besides the duo, the drama also stars Kubra Khan and Ahsan Khan.
