One of the most sought after actress in the past couple of years happens to be Mehwish Hayat who has successfully given back to back hits as far as Pakistani Cinema is concerned. With her amazing performance in Movies like Punjab Nahi Jaongi and Load Wedding to name a few even in television, Mehwish left everyone stunned by playing a strong female character in Dillagi opposite Humayun Saeed. With her latest movie Chhalawa which released last Eid, Hayat also received the Sitar -e-Imtiaz and made us very proud.
Again making our eyes swell with pride, Mehwish currently in Norway also received an award for the pride of performance where the Prime Minister Madam Erna Solberg was also present.
Sharing the news herself on her social media, Mehwish wrote,
'I was honored to address distinguished guests including The Right Honourable Prime Minister of Norway, Madam Erna Solberg at a Peace event in Oslo where I was recognized with an award for Pride of Performance. I was able to use the prestigious forum to talk about the role of cinema in promoting peace'.
Adding further she wrote,
'Unfortunately, the way we are being represented is creating divides, Bollywood could have used cinema to promote mutual understanding instead of vilifying us as they do. They need to decide which is more important - nationalistic fervor or a peaceful future'.
Spoken very well, we love how Mehwish carries herself with a lot of grace at such international events.
With us thrilled for the much-loved actress, we hope that she receives such wonderful accolades in the future too.
