Momina Mustehsan and Uzair Jaswal’s new track is now out! The single ‘Hamesha’ features the two of them in a diner setting that resembles ‘Riverdale’ a lot. The plot, however, is a confusing one, and it has left a few fans wondering what the message has been all about.
In the video, Uzair and Momina play a couple who both work at a diner. As we understood from the video, Uzair is a writer and he writes a story envisioning their lives together - while they still work at the diner in a very multi-dimensional manner. He even takes a bullet for her, taking us back to the Riverdale shooting sequence in Season 1.
Interestingly, Riverdale isn’t the only inspiration for this music video, Infinity War gave the ‘dusting away’ action too, except there is no Thanos snapping his fingers, but the story that Uzair envisioned dusts away and the two reunite much later in old age.
The song itself is a very mellow track, great for music lovers who are all for meaningful lyrics. But, it could have been catchier.
“In the journey of life, love can determine the path we end up on. We can either choose forever or live a lifetime of broken dreams,” Uzair tweeted.
“And if I ask you to not let go, to fight our demons together, to honor our promise of forever and fulfill our dreams of a lifetime of love – will you?” Momina posted on Instagram.
