The film has bagged the ‘Best Feature Film Award’ at the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival

One of the latest accolades for the film has been yet another International Award! Laal Kabootar has bagged the ‘Best Feature Film Award’ at the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival. We couldn’t be more proud of everyone who’ve helped create a story that has been liked and appreciated by the global audiences.
Kamal Khan, the Director of this masterpiece, received the award on November 17 at the Awards Ceremony held at Surrey City Hall in Surrey, British Columbia. But, this one is just another award that Laal Kabootar has to its credit. It has also won the Archana Soy Audience Award for the same category at the Tasveer South Asian Film Festival in Seattle earlier this year. It was also screened at the Singapore South Asian International Film Festival 2019.
Ahmed Ali Akbar, who plays the lead in Laal Kabootar won the ‘Best Actor Male’ award for his exceptionally good performance at the esteemed Washington DC South Asian Film Festival 2019.
Laal Kabootar is also Pakistan’s official submission for Oscars 2020, in the ‘International Feature Film Award’ category. The film revolves around the lives of a taxi-driver (Ahmed Ali Akber) who crosses paths with a strong-headed and stubborn girl played by Mansha Pasha. It also features actors like Rashid Farooqui, Saleem Meraj, Ali Kazmi, Shamim Hilali, Akbar Islam, Syed Arsalan, Saad Fareedi, Hammad Siddiq, Ishtiaq Omar, Meesum Naqvi, Faiza Gillani, Mohammed Ahmed, and Kaleem Ghour.
